New cell phone
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I use Verizon Wireless and it's time for me to upgrade my phone. I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices (it's sad that at 26, I'm overwhelmed by the new technology!). Has anyone gotten a new phone recently? Any good ones out on the market? Any special features that you use that I...

Great dog, but some terrible habits
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi there. We adopted a seven year old border collie cross back in May. She's a gorgeous dog who behaves herself in the house while we're out, but a couple of her habits really need knocked on the head. The worst one is that the neighbourhood cats like to poo in our garden, and Fly likes to...

OH HAPPY DAY!
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Some of you know from the Rainbow Bridge section that I'm still dealing day to day with the loss of my girl, FeFe. When we were told about her illness and what eventually would happen, I began taking oodles of photos of her doing anything from sitting, sleeping, eating, bathing, rolling in poo.....

advise on dog walking
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
i started on a mission to train my 85lb golden retriever to walk properly just a few days ago (i know i should have started sooner [8D]). Of course she started resisting and pulling at the beginning, but she learned not to pull so much or i will stop or pull her back. One problem I'm still having...

Scared of other dogs
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I own an 8-year-old pit female named Happy that is fearful around other dogs. If I'm on a walk with her she'll start to cry when another dog passes. If the dogs meet she tries to walk away as the other dog sniffs her. She reacts the same way whether it's a mini pin or a great dane. This problem...

Puppy class and interesting update (snake bite story)
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
We had Ben's first Puppy Progress class at the clicker training school tonight. He did REALLY well, I think our previous puppy class (different trainer) really went above what she needed to do with us because Ben handled everything like was old news. He has fallen in love with another puppy there...

Well, there are only two Chihuahuas, but it's still almost a basket-full. The involved parties are Dobby and Pirouette.

Going through the pictures of our cute little [sm=eek.gif] puppy, Bullet. The first [link http://www.geocities.com/hosselblotta/doglay.JPG]picture[/link] is when he was 2 months old. We just got him, and bathed him. I think he weighed all of 20 pounds. The second [link http://www.geocities.com/hosselblotta...

Kira and Clapping - she freaks out?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Well, I guess the joy of adopting a dog, is learning what she knows.... We just found out that clapping your hands loudly, makes her bark... she'll bark and growl anytime she hears a clap... in fact, she looks almost vicious when this happens.... We are still trying to find out if it is just loud...

Photos with the Dog?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So I've been thinking about taking Giz and Me to get some photos taken by a photographer. Mostly just for the fun and to pass out to friends and family. So I was just curious how many others have done that with their dogs? What are the studieos rules on allowing animals in their building? Are there...

Ok, so my dog that lives with my mom now (long story, but she got attached so she kept him there) is spraying! My mom smells dog pee under the fridge, stove, and in her laundry room by the washer. At first, I was like "no no my moe wouldnt do that" but apparently the vet told her that since...
