What breed is he?
I just recently adopted a rescue from North Shore Animal League. They told me its a lab mix but not sure what it's mixed with. It has a boxy face like a staffie and a stocky build. Shadow is very big for a 13 week old pup. He already weighs 28 pounds. The vet could not believe he was only 13 weeks...

Help for a friend...
So I have a friend on another forum (non-dog-related) and she and her husband want a dog but the problem is they can't agree on a very fundamental issue: size. He has vetoed large dogs. He thinks their house and yard are too small (and yes I know and you know that that doesn't really matter,...

What mix is this pooch?
Hi everyone, Does anyone know what this dog might be a mix of? The pound says that she's part Queensland, but what's her other half? Any ideas? She weighs 34 lbs. Very calm and sweet disposition. Thanks! Hannah

Anyone have experience with an Anatolian Sheperd?
Hey everyone, I'm still researching dogs and looking for the right breed. Does anyone here have any first hand experience with anatolian shepherds? I've read all about their breed in general. Just wondering if anyone here owns one and could tell me about their person experience? Thanks!!

The papillon reunion...
I know there's a lot of papillon people on here (not surprised, they're awesome) But we've never really had a thread. So here's a thread where we can trade stories, etc. So why did you guys choose papillons? So if you have a papillon, speak up! What do you enjoy about this little...

Breed Help
Hello, I was wondering if I could get thoughts and opinions on what breed mix sadie may be. I was told Cattle dog mix. My opinion is she is either Australian Cattle or Sheperd not sure which one she takes on more. And the other breed I have no idea. On her body she has large and small blue spots through...

Want a Saint...what can u tell me?
I don't plan on getting one anytime soon, but wanted to know a few things ahead of time. 1. What do you like most about the Saint? 2. What do like the least about them? 3. In your experience was he/she easy to train? 4. Smooth or Rough coat...which do you prefer and why? 5. What about...

Breed suggestions wanted for St. Bernard companion
I'm looking for a second dog to join the family, but am very particular about what breed I choose since my first dog is a Purebred st. Bernard. His activity level is pretty good but he is only 8 and a half months old. I think having a second dog around would be excellent for him and i'm willing...

My newest foster
This dog (Charlie) belonged to a family member who had some changes in circumstances and couldn't him. He's a year old and about 10-15 pounds. His dad was a pure bred and mom was a mix of two breeds. I know what they are and two of the breeds are an easy guess, but I'm curious to see who...

Advise on Adult Vizslas?
I just posted in the general section about Ty the Vizsla I rescued, this is my first Vizsla. He is 3 years old, unaltered (soon to be though!) , very sweet and very smart. I have been researching this breed a lot so I do know about there general temperment and high energy level and that they are natural...

tricky.. but take a guess!
here's one photo- she's about 7 months old, and weighs about 40 pounds. Lots of loose skin on her neck.. LOTS of it under her chin, and her breast bone/sternum? sticks out really far, like a big knob- though the rest of her isn't bony anymore. Her coat is really soft, with no coarse fur...

Time to Guess the mix v. Dane/???
Hi. I got a dane mix from the pound about a week ago. They told me he was about 9 weeks old. I named him LeRoy. He was very skinny when I got him. Someone moved out of an apartment, leaving him alone to starve and die. He is really sweet and laid back. He doesn't really chew your fingers much but...

West Highland Terrier
Does anyone have any info on Westie's. I love how they're so small, since I live in an apt. But was wondering if they're considered high energy, barkers, etc...
