Treat Bags!
I have experiences with two treat bags, both are the same brand. They're made by outward hound, so far this is the only brand of bag I'm familiar with ( I'm planning to make my own rather than buy another one in the future) I LIKE this one!! I have the blue stripey one on the bottom right...

New grooming box from dog.com
And I love it! As usual dog.com products exceeded my expections. This box is professional in function and appearance, beautiful, wonderfully function, and bigger than it looks in the picture too.. Here is mine with all my grooming, show stuff. There is so much room in it! Thank you dog.com - I highly...

Dublin Collars
Quite a few of us have these (well, except poor Bugsy, lol), so I thought I would share this experience with you guys. Most of you know about Harry's car accident. We're not sure how it happened, but the D-ring on the collar broke during the melee. This is probably a good thing, because otherwise...

Not even sure...
Hey guys so I'm not sure if this is even a behavioral problem or more so just Simba's prey-drive. So my sister has a little girl come over here from time to time to watch right? And Simba IS good with kids, but this girl keeps running around, which of course gets Simba worked up. He's got...

Do Two Dogs Go Native?
Whenever I see a news article about a child or person being attacked by a dog, the first common denominator is that the owner of the 'attack' dog has left the dog unsupervised in a situation that it shouldnt be in. Gone out for two seconds to have a cigarette, left grandma in charge etc etc....

Ugh
This isn't really me asking for advice, just good vibes I guess. So for the most part Simba is better with the whole nipping thing when he gets worked up, the bites aren't as hard as they used to be and they're less on most days. The gentle leader has helped a lot but tonight he started jumping...

How serious are "air snaps" between dogs?
So, I have a geriatric male lab mix and a one(ish) year old male pit who just joined the family. The old lab has never been DA, and the pit, surprisingly, doesn't show any "normal" signs of being truly DA, either (yet, at least). On walks, the pit gets "happy butt" and "smiles"...

Chelsea posted recently about a very nice backpack given to Bailey by Grady. Will it be an Outlet or Make it Worse???? (sillysally)
Sally has high prey drive. She has killed small wild critters in the yard before (and "hunts" in the yard a lot) and gets *super* excited when we are walking and she sees a critter that runs from her. It is truly hard to get her focus back on us after a critter makes an appearance. She has...

How Frustrating
It seems as though Delta Society has decided that raw fed dogs can no longer make therapy visits through their organization. Read more here . I find it quite ironic that Brenda Bax, a marketing director for Purina, is also listed as the Secretary for Delta Society. I wonder just how hard she looked at...

Skittish dog
Hello all, I'm new here but I didn't take me long to realize what a knowledgeable bunch you guys are. I personally do not have alot of dog experience. I had my Basset Hound for 14 years; and I have had Veronica for 18 months, but that's pretty much it. I have never dealt with skittish...

Help! Strange dog behavior
Strange dog behavior-need help! 9year old mix black and tan coon hound. Excellent health, great temperament. We are having a heat wave in NYC but have air conditioning in the bedroom where our dog hangs out. A week ago, she refused her night time walk. It was over 90 degrees outside, so we...

Several dogs kill owner
Came across this in our local news...how sad. I guess the father was the one that rescued these dogs but the son lived there also and helped take care of them. They must have attacked the son when the father was not there yesterday....they destroyed all of the dogs as a practice that is done if there...

Bark Off?
I saw this infomercial on TV today for this product called the Bark Off. It's this rectangular shape electronic device that's supposed to emit a high pitch noise that interrupts your dog barking and people arent supposed to hear it. It's only $10 but I'm a little wary of long term effects...

Found this to be an interesting read: http://www.dogdaysnw.com/doc/overall_collars.pdf Can't wait to see what comes out of the committees she refers to in this article.... hopefully another few steps toward bringing humane training further into the mainstream. Enjoy! Julie and Jersey

Are some dogs just rather sensitive?
I know I'm full of questions right now. :P But I'm curious can some dogs be more sensitive than others. Not exactly emotionally but physically. Simba isn't a huge cuddler and can only handle it for so long before he's had enough and has to move away. Is this a puppy thing or just a Simba...

Girlfriend and her dog are moving in!
She and her 4yo female lab are moving in with me and my 5yo male beagle/dachshund. We'll both have separate bedrooms, though we'll sometimes sleep in my room, sometimes sleep in her room. Both dogs are neutered and have met and like each other in general. The problem arises when my girlfriend...
