    Dublin Collars

Quite a few of us have these (well, except poor Bugsy, lol), so I thought I would share this experience with you guys.

Most of you know about Harry's car accident.  We're not sure how it happened, but the D-ring on the collar broke during the melee.  This is probably a good thing, because otherwise there'd have been a choking hazard, please don't take that statement to mean this is a defect or downside to the collars' durability.

When the D-ring broke off, the collar remained intact (where it's folded over and grommeted over the D-ring.)  I called the company the week after it happened.  The lady I spoke with was very nice, and said she'd never heard of this happening with other collars, but asked me to snap a few pics, so they could see if there might be something they should investigate, so I did and emailed the pics over.

Then, she said, after looking up my previous order, that I should be expecting a replacement collar in a few days.  At no cost!  I was flabbergasted.

To top it all off, they have a Regift/Recycle program.  I sent the damaged collar back to them so they can either recycle the material or offer to donate it to a shelter that wouldn't mind the missing D-ring, and got a very nice Thank You email back from the same lady I spoke with on the phone.

Just wanted to relay my great experience with this company.  I saw these collars in a boutique store last weekend, so might be something Dog.com would like to consider carrying as well.

that is so not funny LOL

glad that they have treated you so well!

So the D ring broke or it came free intact?  Just curious

Oh and give the boys a belly rub with a reminder to Mr Harry that running off is a BAD thing

They resized their collars....so they will likely have a collar that fits Beastie Boy, Bugsy.

I really love this company...great customer service.

No idea.  We never found it.  The collar was still intact, as in the grommets that hold the material over the D ring were still completely attached.  I think the D ring must have snapped at some point.  His leash, which the kind lady who had stopped to help us, picked up and brought to us once Harry was safely in the car, did not have the D ring on it, either.

I've never dealt with that company, but it seems like a lot of companies in the pet industry have great customer service compared to many other industries. I have always gotten reimbursed/replacement products for various stuff I bought for my dogs. (Its also easy for me to generalize right now as I've been sitting for 3.5 hours dealing with HP's terrible customer support..!!) Could there be a trend though? I mean I'm assuming a majority of people in the industry are dog lover too! :)
