Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

To read Bailey's story, and how she got to this point, look here.... http://forum.dog.com/forums/t/83178.aspx Bad news today. We had to get one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met put to sleep. She was filled up with a very agressive cancer. We knew the news was grim this morning. The radiologist...

Our little boy Beau
We lost our little boy yesterday, had to put him to sleep. He ran head on face first into doggy gate, and injured his brain, he could not walk, eat or drink and everything had shut down. We took him to vet, we tried cortizone shots, and pain meds to no avail, it was time to let him go. He was only four...

Larry, the Chinese Crested
Larry, my friend's puppy, died today. I don't know what happened, because she can't talk, yet. He was Ena's "big brother", and the reason that his mom wanted another Chinese Crested. He was a great, little guy. He was... maybe 10 months old. I'm not sure, anymore. It's...

Gone but not forgotten - Ozzie & Kelsey (ISGrl)

Crombie, taken to young
Crombie was two weeks shy of 10 months old when he went missing. A friend said they chased off an eagle that had killed a little black kitten that looked exactly like Crombie. Upon hearing that news we've stopped actively hunting for him and have steeled our hearts for the worst. So if in the end...

Zeke RIP - you are loved and missed!!!!
Sadly Zeke was euthanized exactly 9 months after I first met him. He was brought to a RI shelter at 3-4 weeks of age, a transport from TN. Not expected to survive, being so young with possible parvo & distemper. This guy pulled through 24 hours of seizures every 10 minutes. Only to develop extreme...
