Zeke RIP - you are loved and missed!!!!

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Zeke RIP - you are loved and missed!!!!

Sadly Zeke was euthanized exactly 9 months after I first met him.  He was brought to a RI shelter at 3-4 weeks of age, a transport from TN.  Not expected to survive, being so young with possible parvo & distemper.  This guy pulled through 24 hours of seizures every 10 minutes.  Only to develop extreme anxiety and aggression.  After multiple consultations with behaviorists- the consensus to euthanize was the only responsible option.  I am sick with grief, and angry that my beloved pup developed these  problems, when I see people tossing out dogs like garbage at the shelter and they have sound sweet temperments.

I'm so very sorry for your loss... I know how hard it is to make that decision, but you did what was best for him.  You gave him peace.

Run free, Zeke... the Rainbow Bridge is better for having you there.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you wanted to save him. I share your feelings about those people who feel pets are easily disposable.

I am so sorry.  I just lost my  KayCee t0  cancer  onSunday and the pain is so sharp.  But she gavfe me a last gift.  She died on her own in my arms before the vet came and I did not have to sign those dreaded papers.

I know you did all in your powr for your little guy and it is so sad he had to have these problems.  But at leasthe knew you love im, and he couldn't help his behavior.  I also think you did right by lettng him go where he will neverhave fgear or pain again.
