(featured in the blog today) yep...somebodies watching me. You put your dog outside to do their business...stretch their legs...get some mental stimulation beyond watching you move from room to room from a prone position on the tile... Suddenly as you make your coffee you feel that itch...you know...

Thoughts on training when physical limitations are present

I have been dealing with a bad back for decades, but in the past year it has become very problematic. I have always had to be careful not to spasm my back doing certain task, but now, just about anything can spasm it into immobility it seems. I have had at least a half dozen episodes where I literally...

He was on his way to Indiana with his mother when they were involved in some sort of accident. The information I have been able to gather is that it involved a...

It was really warm for the first time in months. I had to work but took Baily to the softball fields nearby afterwards. Of course everything is wet and soggy. The ground is saturated and Baily found every excellant puddle to stretch out "frog dog" style in. These pics don't do his level...

The other day I was in the Walmart, and I was just browsing clothes. Well up at the register, this little boy about 4, was just crying and crying. It didn't sound like a temper tantrum cry, just a deep sobbing. He was there with his father, mother, and one of their mothers I assume. There was also...

I have a Newfie. He is currently around 20 months old, has been neutered. From a training and socialization in different environments point of view, he is very good...except with children. We don't have children so we understand we need to socialize him with kids. Since he first got home around...

"Soon, more humans will be able to learn from him. This summer, after a special 100th episode (and a third Emmy nomination for Mr. Millan), the National Geographic Channel struck a deal with Fox to syndicate “Dog Whisperer” next fall. That means 50 million or so of the nation’s 120 million households...
