Hello everyone, I am new here and have some questions. I have read a lot of the other posts, and I am furthering the marking in the house question. I have two bichons, my spayed female just turned 6, and my neutered male is 3. I had both my pups fixed at the age of 6 months. They are my children so they...

Hi guys, my gf and I adopted an adorable golden retriever mix puppy from a rescue org last Sunday, he's about 9 weeks old and is not house trained, so ever since we took him back we've been trying to potty train him to not go inside the apartment, but so far it's just not going in the right...

Dog addicted to ball...HEELLLLLP!
I have moved in with my sister and brother in-law recently for a few months while I finish college. They have three dogs and one of them, a black lab named Baily, has become VERY addicted to tennis balls! All she thinks about is the ball, whenver you come in she will only go out if you throw the ball...

Excessive Barking & REPotty-Training Help!
I hope I'm in the right forum for this post... if not, someone, let me know! Hi, I have two questions for the dog trainer regarding our dog, Hailey, who is a Miniature Schnauzer who just turned 2. She is on the small side, 11lbs, full of puppy energy, and relishes the center of attention. My husband...

Stacking?
What is everyone's favorite method for teaching a dog to stack? I'm curious, because I'm working on teaching Shippo to stack... right now I'm just using food, but the thing is he keeps wanting to sit. >X.x;< Perhaps teaching "stay" will make it easier lmao...

Need a new crate...opinions please
So, for Peyton I started out with a smaller crate that a family member wasn't using anymore before I needed to buy her a bigger one. Well, now is the time for the bigger one. (Gosh it seemed to literally happen overnight that she didn't fit anymore!) So I am debating between a typical crate and...

Is he "winning" ?
I have a 4month old aussie. He is crate trained, kind of? You may think 'well he is or isnt, which is it?' This is what happens. Puppy can most often hold his bladder all day. from 7am to 4pm with no accidents, about 50% of the time. During this time he is confined to the kitchen, so...

He is a great dog with lots of energy, but we are having a problem with barking at people and other dogs while on walks. I usually try to make him sit and tell him quiet, but he jumps...

Is This Really Mean?
We've had our adopted dog now for 6 weeks, and one thing we have discovered is that this guy has a very sensitive tummy. Anything outside of his Nutro Natural Balance Lamb and Rice and he is exploding. For training treats, I bake a lamb chop and trim it real well and cut it into little bits. ...

Destructive Digging!!!
I have a 9-month old Boxer who has become a holy terror. Last week she broke through the back fence (which is our neighbors' ;) and ran away. My lab mix followed her and he was lost for almost 24 hours. Now she is constantly trying to dig her way out along that back fence. It has gotten to the point...

Leash pulling
my Cockapoo, Lucy, doesn't do it all the time, but frequently when I take her for a walk she'll pull on the leash reaaaaally hard to the point she's on her two hind feet gagging herself. It doesn't matter how fast or slow I walk, she'll just pull to no end! Half the time she is gasping...

scat mats?
I'm looking to buy a used scat mat. Figured I'd check here to see if anyone had one that had served its purpose before making the 80 mile trek to the nearest petstore. Anyone have one they are ready to sell? The silly dog doesn't even countersurf for the good stuff.... she steals fruit...

Growled at me for the first time
Ruby (4.5 month old Aussie) was chewing on her raw bone on the kitchen floor while I was on the computer; she seemed to be really enjoying on it. When I got up and passed her I patted her on the head and said, "Hey Ruby, how's it goin'?" and she growled at me with the bone in her mouth...
