    sleeping under blankets

im not sure if this is a problem but it worries me because sometimes jake will crawl all the way under the blankets head first and its all warm and toasty under there and im worried he will suffocate!!  so i make him come back out and then crawls back under again.  it just worries because his entire body including his head is underneath the blankets and i know i couldnt breathe under there.

LOL, not to worry, Sweet Pea does it every nite. My previous dog Penny also did it. I use to worry that they wouldn't get enough air but they do. Sweet Pea starts out under the covers but by morning she has her head on the pillow next to me. When she is under the covers, I always make a little tent with the blankets so that it isn't flat on her face.I can't handle having my face covered when I sleep.

Kayla did this... and Bailey does it too, Bailey will actually shove her head under my body while under there.  I wouldnt worry about it, Jaye.  I dont see how they breathe either (I wouldnt be able to!) but they do, and some dogs just really like it under there.  I would have to say she'll get out when she gets hot[:)]  Silly doggies!

Unless, you hermetically seal off the blanket, oxygen is still going to get in there.

Bear sleeps on top of my five layers of blankets and my sister's little kitten/cat crawls under my blankets every night to sleep and she never suffocates.  [:)]

Sammy my min.pin. has to sleep under the covers at all times. He will find any way to get under before he can sleep.

My Odie will ONLY sleep under the covers. I'm always worried he'll suffocate too, so I try to uncover him. But sure enough, he'll wiggle himself down below and snuggle right in before he'll fall asleep. [sm=talker.gif]
