Just saying sorry
For the last few weeks of all my wonky questions about diets for Gobie, Lexi and Darby. I think I'm done obscessing now. I hope! LOL I get their order of petguard in on friday and I'm going to try my best to leave well enough alone! Going to add a few toppers here and there and a few supp's...

AAh! Husbands
You guys all know how crazy I am about my dogs' food. I *thought* I had settled on petguard with some toppers, but I was talking to dh tonight and he said "I thought you were going with Freshpet, it makes a lot more sense" because it's very low in grain, just a bit of rice. THey...

Another crazy plea for ideas- chronic soft poo
Well, you know me, always worryign and wondering about the dogs. The girls (bichons Lexi and Darby) will do fine on petguard once that arrives (Friday), as I have their prior happy history of them on that food. But Gobie is such an issue! He has glop poop. It is formed, but when you go to scoop it...

Can Overeating be a real problem?(huskymom)
And if so, how do you tell? I don't mean, continuous overeating, leading to obesity. I mean in one sitting. The reason I ask is because my dogs aquired a mooseleg each yesterday, and Crusher also got part of a ribcage. He's been grazing on it ever since. Onyx too, but the legs have much less...

Wouldja recommend
Dry foods that have NO brewer's yeast, flaxseed or barley. I believe I have figured out what the girls are sensitive to and wouldn't mind switching off 100% cooked and try the kibble plus toppers again. Maybe. I'm scared LOL Tried putting them on the sojos I've had in the freezer ...

Similar texture to Bil Jac??????
Is there ANYTHING? Jewel, my picky IG foster dog, gobbles down Bil Jac like it's nothing, as long as I throw a couple of goodies in her bowl. I've quit soaking and fussing over the kibble. It's great! She's getting three, good sized meals a day, now. She's gained muscle, and she's...

Dakota has clostridium infection - UPDATE: FINAL RESULTS IS HOOKWORM...
which I guess is a normal bacteria in the intestional tract of dogs anyways, his just got out of hand. Everything I read says it could be partly due to eating contaminated food that was harboring bacteria, not sure if it means the same type of bacteria or just bacteria in general, and/or could be...

Picky dogs stink! (jennie_c_d)
So, Jewel is special. She is 8, and she has a terrible mouth. I *know* it's bothering her, but she's in season, and I'm waiting on all of that business. She ate soaked kibble, fine, for a day, then I left her with my mom. Oh, yes, you get spoiled at Grandma's house. So, now, Jewel doesn't...

Lilys sar training progress
Just in case anyone is interested...about 4 weeks ago I took lily to a sar training session. They tested her personality: how she was with people and dogs, how she reacted to a variety of things, her obedience, etc. Passing that, they tested her potential as a wilderness air scent dog, she passed the...

Teaching "Stand" (sillysally)
I have recently started seriously thinking about trialing Jack in Rally. We are in a Rally class now and jack does pretty good with most of the material, but I am not sure how to go about teaching him "stand." Any advice?

Coat care
I need something to strengthen Maze's coat. I've noticed a couple bald spots from where Sandy grabs on to her neck while they're playing. Right now she's getting Nutro Max for the active dog. I know not the greatest but I'm working a budget and she seems to be doing really well on...

What to feed for good coat?
I have a 7lb chihuahua mix and 20lb whippet mix (the breeds are guesses as they were both rescues), who are about 8 months old. I have been feeding them Canidae ALS. They also get a whole raw egg a couple of times a week. However both of them are itchy and seem to shed a lot for short-haired dogs. I...

This should be fun!
I put Maze in to basic puppy obedience starting tomorrow!!! LMAO! I'm hoping *praying* that I can get her focus under control and maybe not get pulled down the street. Lol. She's a demon on the agility field but she's so bloody fast, I can't get her to focus and she takes pieces out of...
