I agree. I can't imagine why anyone would want to switch often..when Aesop was having poo issues and we had to try to find a food that didn't break his intestines AND he would eat, it was the most frustrating thing ever.  Now that we've found a balance of edible food and happy colon, we're staying put. He gets raw snacks frequently, but we stay on the food that works as his staple diet.

Willow, I think you are probably right. I like them on PetGuard Lifespan dry or now they have happy tummies on Freshpet Select (refrigerated).

Stop switching and stick with what works before I really mess them up!

And, ya know, still give healthy snackies that don't upset their tummies. Emma eats the horrifying prescription diet (it's only horrifying if you read the scary ingredients list, otherwise it's glorious!), and she gets marrow bones, canned food, burgers, french fries, bully sticks, trachea chips, bacon biscuits (from Northern Biscuit, they're grain free!), etc etc all in moderation. As long as she gets her happy tummy kibble, she's FINE. It's incredible.

Well I end up switching or wondering about tryign this or that because someone online on some other forum talks me into it. (generally not this one, I love the safety of idog because people here generally support foods that work for each individual dog and don't judge one way or another).  I got into reading some posts about how good the NDF2 was and there is nothing better, and then reading another one on prey model (no veg) adn tried that for a while, which only resulted in awful liquid diarrhea all over the house, which led to homecooked (too much work with 2 small kids and a deployed hubby) to this freshpet select which is cooked/refrigerated but gives the dogs intermittent dire-rear LOL.  Ok, but that's not actually funny. Not fun for me to clean and their tummies cannot feel great if that is what's coming out their rear end!

So the last few months has been of me second guessing my choices and wanting to do "better" for them somehow but I think, in the long run, I made them overly itchy on NDF2, with huge bouts of GI issues on all the others.

I ended up ordering a bag of PetGuard Lifespan which will be in the end of next week, and I'll cook up my typical topper concoction (meat, veg) adn add kefir now and again. And leave well enough alone!  urgh.

I don't know why I get in these stinks about food.  I have to go, my 5 and 3 yr old are at each other's throats!!! aaaaah!!!!!
