Lump(s) found...
Well, I'm trying not to freak out here but that's kinda hard not to do lately. I noticed a couple days ago that Tessy had a couple of lumps on her neck. One on each side next to each lymph nodes! Her lymph nodes were always a little on the bigger size but not by any means LARGE. Her platelets...

Itchy armpits?
About maybe 1-2 weeks ago I first noticed it. He was running around in the yard, then stopped to itch his armpit. I didnt really think anything of it... till he just kept itching and itching, until he actually yelped. I checked his armpit that he was itching and it had big scratches from his nails and...

A coworker of mine just had her coonhound puppy diagnosed with an infection in a wrist joint. He's on antibiotics, but she was wondering if there is anything else she can do to help him heal. This little guy has been through a ton in the 2 weeks since she brought him home: weird intestinal thing...

Arthritis help...
I am babysitting my mom's 18 year old beagle mix this week. She seems pretty uncomfortable, she'll only lay down for about 5 minutes, then move elsewhere. I have also noticed a limp in the last few hours. I think it might be my hardwood floors. She gets metacam twice a day. Anything i can do...

I am a terrible dog owner... please help!
I was convinced by a friend to try a bark collar cause our Landlord was going to evict us for excessive barking. Not wanting to be homeless, It was a last ditch effort. He said it worked great on his dog. We tried it and the first time he barked he yelped and that was it. I checked and everything seemed...

Pet Zoom
I bought the Pet Zoom a couple weeks ago, but just used it for the first time yesterday. I brushed Brownie and he had LOTS of hair coming out because he sheds a lot around this time when summer is in session. Instead of having to clean out the brush, all I had to do was slide my thumb and all the hair...

Dog drips saliva
Ever since I have Red - a Golden/collie/gordon setter mix since age 3 (now age 8), he has a slow drip from his nose or tongue. For the first years, it looked like the drip was from his nose. This year and especially this hot summer, the drip is rolling off the center of his tongue. He is so hot with...

Ugh Mange
So Simba's been having some bald spots on his body recently and after my mom talked to the vet, she thinks it might be mange. The type that they can get from their mother and it shows no signs of irritation to the dog. Apparently it can happen because the immune system hasn't kicked in yet. If...

Ari's Vomiting =(
Ugh, it's been so long since we've had to deal with her vomiting. This is really odd though, because 9.9 out of 10 times we can figure out the source. She's refusing food and not drinking much to boot, which has got me worried. Yesterday, she was lethargic. I did get her to eat 1/2 a can...

Taz - Knee Surgery
Hello all, it has been a while since I have been on the board. Never was a big poster but I did get lots of information. Now I have a problem. Taz, my 4 yr old Bichon, had to have surgery on his left knee. The knee kept popping out and was staying out most of the time. This started nearly 2 years ago...

Maze's adventure at the vet. Not good news....
We have a tentative diagnosis of cardiomyopathy (sp??) I can't afford the full tests right now so it has to wait until October. But from an exam and a intent listen to her heart, the vets feels that it is most likely cardiomyopathy. He wants a full blood panel, chest x-rays, EKG and a stress test...

Favorite detangling conditioners?
I have a Cocker Spaniel and her coat matts so rapidly I can't stay ahead of it. I haven't found a product that is really helpful for detangling and dematting yet but I'm looking for something I can spray on between shampoos or before shampooing to help me ease matts out (if or when possible...

Landlord's dog has parvo
Hey guys, Was wondering if I can pick your brains about some info to pass along to my landlord. Found out tonight that his dog Toby (cattle dog mix, under a year of age) has parvo. They took him in to the vet Friday morning I believe. He was 'lethargic' some on Thursday night but he'd been...
