K9 Cancer Walk to Find a Cure

Last Chance to Walk in the Fight Against Canine CancerOn Saturday, Aug. 21, Celebrate Survivors, Memorialize Those Who Have Died August 17, 2010/Denver — Join Morris Animal Foundation and Colorado dog lovers this Saturday, August 21, at the 2nd annual K9 Cancer Walk at Stanley Park in Estes Park. Donations raised will help Morris Animal Foundation fund health research to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure cancer in dogs through its Canine Cancer Campaign. Click here for a video about MAF’s 2nd Annual K9 Cancer Walk and Canine Cancer Campaign. Currently, nearly 30 teams have registered for the walk, and with the help and dedication of its volunteers and sponsors, Morris Animal Foundation has already raised more than $30,000 for the event.Online registration will remain open until August 19 at 5:00 p.m. and is available at www.K9CancerWalk.org.On-site registration and check-in begin at 8:00 a.m., and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Updates on the latest canine cancer research developments and Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign news begin at 11 a.m. Proceeds from the K9 Cancer Walk will benefit the Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign and will be used to fund studies and train researchers at established locations around the world, including Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
