Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Remembering Mako
Thirty years ago today, a little Beagle was born. She was a lifelong happy little dog, never a loudmouth unless on a scent outdoors, and always ready to run and chase those rabbits. Fortunately, I have two acres worth of rabbits. I remember the summer days she would go out back to the stream in hot pursuit...

Goodbye CJ
My Grandma called me this morning with some very sad news. Her poodle CJ died this morning when my aunt accidentally ran over him in her SUV. He was old, 15 years, and had lost most of his hearing, his eyes also had cataracts so he was also going blind as well. He couldn’t see or hear the vehicle coming...

Gearing up for the tears. Roscoe, RIP buddy.
The 20th will be exactly 1 year that you've been gone, buddy. I think about you every day. I found a poem that really describes how I feel. Your absence has gone through me Like thread through a needle. Everything I do is stitched with its color. That's what it's like without...

Goodbye, Daniel.
Daniel was the German Shepherd who belonged to my neighbor across the street, Jim. Jim trained GSDs in the Vietnam war and truly loves the breed and Daniel was his best friend for 14 years. Today he made the hard decision to let him go peacefully. Daniel couldn't eat, had lost control of his bladder...

Fergie 1989-2010 ***update***
Fergie 1989-2010 Today is both a sad and happy day. It’s sad, because our little family has lost another true warrior, and happy because she is now in the spirit land, with her ancestors, her first mom, and the best doggy daddy who ever lived. I met Fergie for the first time...

Sam
DH's parents called to say they put down Sam, the cocker spaniel. He was about 14 years old. He's had a heart murmur his entire life. When I met DH six years ago, Sam was also getting chronic yeast infections in his ears and started to develop arthritis in his knees. Recently, his heart problems...

Shiloh -- how they can change lives (Callie)
Shiloh, a little fawn pug who was a friend of mine crossed Rainbow Bridge today. He changed MY life. I never got to meet Shiloh. When he was a puppy he had demodex -- about 10 years ago. I met Shiloh's "mom" Rita via email because she knew I had success helping folks with demodex dogs...

Prayers for Sheba (pics included)
My poor old girl is going downhill. I have an appt with the vet tomorrow to see if there is anything I can do to make her more comfortable. In the last two weeks she's slowed down considerably. She used to stroll around & go outside, but last week she decided she didn't want to do that anymore...

Cherokee
I think I can finally write something coherent here, so here it is.. For those that don't know, I lost Cherokee on November 30th after a 2 1/2 month long battle with cancer. By the time the tumor on her shoulder was visible, it had already spread to her lung, and she wasn't a candidate for chemotherapy...

Daddy
You all know that I am not a fan or follower of Cesar Millan's methods, however, I am truly sorry for him on the loss of what must be a "heart dog" for him. Apparently, Daddy has passed away at what, for a Pit Bull, is a very respectable age - 16. Whether for or against his techniques,...

Molly has went to Rainbow Bridge
We had to put our Dalmation Molly to sleep today. She was 15 and in pain, while I know it was the right decision, it hurts so bad. Does anyone know Debbie? She painted urns for my other dogs and I have lost her email.
