Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    After a very quick decline, I decided to let Emma go with dignity, this morning.

     Oh, Jennie...this much of a shock to us is only a ripple of what you're feeling.  I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss.  Hugs to you and the girls as you reorient yourselves in this life without Emma.  So, so sorry... Broken Heart

    Oh Jennie -- NOOOOO.  Well, Foxy knows Emma, and maybe this was one of the reasons he was so darned agitated (in what I was seeing in my head) -- he knew (maybe better than we) that he was "espectin" TWO friends, not just Ms. Kee.

    Oh Jennie, I am so terribly sorry.  I didn't even know she was sick again ... and I've been so wrapped up in my own stuff.  Forgive me and accept my huge sympathies.  I'm Here ANY time ok? *hugs*

     I haven't posted about it. In short, her pain and epilepsy were getting worse. She had lost most impulse control, and was spiraling. She'd been acting "old" for several months, but she'd had a lot of bright days. It was just time.
