Need advice on new dog daycare...
I need some advice from all of you city dwellers out there... I am expanding my business and I am opening a new dog daycare in downtown Cincinnati (the location is awesome). I have several already, but they are out in the suburbs. The city situation poses new problems for me. All of my facilities...

Well, my babies are all gone.
All of my fur babies are gone to their homes and doing very well. Everyone is very happy with their pups. I'm so glad I kept them longer, I was able to train them, and get them to follow some commands. It's kinda sad around here now. Sara doesn't mind, she has her toys to herself now. My...

Carmel, CA dog-friendly restaurants?
Anyone got any suggestions for good lunch spots in Carmel, CA? We're meeting my husband's parents there this weekend, and dogs aren't allowed in their community (how dumb is that?!). So we have to find a good dog-friendly, rain-friendly (just in case) place to meet. Any ideas? Thanks!

CLASS or BIAS
An interesting local debate over a councillors request to have special laws enacted to more severly punish persons injurinng or killing a police service animal. This issue follows the recent deaths of a police dog in B.C. and a horse in Toronto. Interestingly, they both were given huge international...

Why does she bark at the TV?
My 6 month old puppy hates TV. When I turn it on, she barks at the TV and acts like she is afraid of it. I muted it but she still barks at it. Maybe she thinks there are real people in it? I really miss watching TV and dont want to live without it...hehe. Anyone heard of this before?

Ideas for 2 week rest period
Hi everyone, Sheena hurt her right hind knee and now she needs 2 weeks of full rest (her x-rays are negative but she is limping and have trouble walking). I need some help with ideas for games you can play with a dog that do not require a lot of movement - walking is fine. I will do a lot of clicker...

Fine Dining
I wanted to share this with everyone and since I know not everyone visits training, thought I'd share it here. I bought Leslie Nelson's Really Reliable Recall video and watched it. The part that struck me in her video is the concept of fine dining. This is the difference between eating at...

Why to not leave dogs out unattended...
This makes me want to scream, or cry, or both. What kind of person gets their kicks off something like this? Poisoned meat kills eight dogs in Ada ADA -- Nine dogs were poisoned, and at least eight of them died, after someone tossed tainted hamburger meat over fences in a west...

Long lines?
Lately I've noticed that a lot of people on this board that don't let their dog run off leash say that they use long lines instead. Sooooo, are these just really long leashes? How long? I think this would be a good option for Caesar when we go for hikes, because I definitely don't trust...

I discovered gravity
I took a spill off of Ranger yesterday. After all these years, you'd think I'd know how to tighten a cinch. We were running the poles when the saddle slipped. I hit the back of my head, but fortunately I'm very hard-headed -- it's the other end that hurts. I may have to ride with a pillow...

What to do for a toothless dog?
Dani busted out a bunch of his teeth when Amber was in season, trying to get out of a crate. He's missing several of his front teeth and a couple front molars. Has anyone ever dealt with this much tooth loss, and what am I facing with him? I've never had this happen before. Poor guy.
