Please help. Don't know what to do...
I have a problem with my dog and we do not know what to do now. We have a cocker-lhasa apso mix that is 1yr 5 mos old. He is typically a good dog but has now attacked my husband twice in 10 days. The brief history of dog bites: When he was neutered I brought him home and he bit me when I tried to...

Prong Collar
Hi, I know this is not one of those favorite subjects, but I am thinking of trying this with my older dog. He is a notorious puller and we have tried just about everything with him. What are your thoughts? How do you know you are using it right? Will they always need it if you start it? Thanks...

Biting Puppy
Ok this will probably sound like a whine.. but here it is. My wife and I picked up puppy from a rescue organization on Saturday. All appeared well with her. We were told that "Maggie" had been returned to the shelter and when we asked why were told... that the owner spent too much time at work...

Can I Crate Train Him?
Hi! Bear is almost two, I was wondering if he could be crate trained? The pound I got him from caught him in a trap, so he regards the crate as a bad place. I'm not going to force him, but I was wondering if he could possibly get over his fear? Any suggestions on how I might start? I was thinking...

Afraid of traffic, moving to NYC
I have an aquaintance that is moving to NYC soon and her dog appears to be afraid of busy streets. Obviously this will be a problem soon. We're going to work on some desensitization to busy roads. Does anyone else have any other suggestions besides this?

Throwing in the towel... ((long))
This post is probably in vain, but I'm trying anyway. I have pretty much made the decision to give up one of my dogs... but I can't convince myself to actually DO it. Like I know I need to (or do I?) but I can't do it. It breaks my heart. I have 3 Jack Russells, and the youngest is...

Not Eating
I have a three and a half year old golden retriever. I went out of town Easter weekend and boarded him for three nights. He hasn' been around other dogs a whole lot and I left him at a place where he basically played with other dogs all day. Since I got him (8 days ago) he is not eating his dog food...

The Dog Listener
Currently I am reading a book called the Dog Listener By Jan Fennell. I really like her training methods, and my two dogs are in dire need of learning just who the real pack leader is! Has anyone heard of her? What do you think of her methods? Have you used them personally and how well did they work...

Seperation Anxiety
My husband recently went back to work after working from home for about a year and 1/2. Our dog Justus is more "his" dog and they are more bonded than Justus and I. Since my husband went back to work Justus has been going to the bathroom inside. It's getting ridiculous. I'm assuming...

Too rough?
Hi, new person here. I'm very good with animals, but it's been a long time since I've had a dog and I could use some advice as we try to help Milo be the best pup he can be. Milo's a 14-week-old, either fully or predominantly golden retriever, whom we adopted from the no-kill shelter...
