    I need a hug

    {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGE BUGSY SIZED HUGS TO YOU}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

You know - we all know -it was the right thing but I'll tell you I would be in worse shape than you handing a pup over.

    Amanda feel better soon

    Glenda wow just wow.

*hugs* for you Jackie. You were an enormous help to the pup by taking her in and looking after her for that short time. You did the right thing by handing her over and it sounds like she will be in a great home :) Put me on the list for chicken tonight. I just bought some breasts and will probably make some sort of stir fry tonight. I'm feeling like a lot of veggies. Oh I had a delicious dinner last night! We had salmon and FH made this delicious broccoli cream sauce for it. Then we roasted some potatoes and had green beans.

HUGGGGGGS Jackie!  Hard as it is for you, yeah, you absolutely did the right thing for this gal, and shoot, a priest will be an awesome foster dad.

Amanda, good gosh, what ARE we going to do with you??  My heavens.  Please feel better fast!

Glenda, so sorry to read your update on Jen.  Will definitely be sending good vibes her way and go ahead and PM me her address.

Amanda, do you have Schwan's delivery there?  Everything on the truck is already cooked, frozen and ready to pop in the oven or microwave ... and it's gooood stuff.

We had a 26 degree drop in temperature in 48 hours.  It was actually too chilly last night to have the ceiling fan on or the window open.  I heard on the 11 p.m. news that the CA coast was on a tsunami alert because of the big quake and resulting tsunami in American Samoa, but I guess it didn't come to anything. They said that if it hit CA it would be between 8" and 26" ... not very high, but apparently a big surge of water even that low can wreak a lot of havoc.

Another update....the surgery got pushed back due to a couple broken hips and hadn't happened yet when I talked to my sister about 30 minute ago.  The abcess is IN the bone??  Not looking all that great from what it sounds.......

    • Gold Top Dog

Glenda, is Jen a doggie person?  I just might have a Buffy the Basset pic to make her feel better...lol!  Jen has definitely had more than her share of problems with this, and she is in my prayers.  PM me with her address...

Glenda- Good heavens.  Can they just take the toe?  Not a pleasant option, but it seems like perhaps it would eliminate what sounds like horribly painful complications.   I hope she ends up on the road to recovery soon.

I just had to drag Aesop in from his fence fighting fun. I'd taken his collar off last night while brushing him, and forgot to put it back on. He just had his thin tag collar on. So I ended up having to drag him in by his mane.  Huh?  I hope our savings builds up again fast so we can move. I like all dogs, but these neighbor dogs are giving me ulcers.

ETA that I generally let him out on the tie out if I see them out, but they were in when I got home. Their owner has a horrible habit of letting them out the minute I get home..

Jackie - I wish I were there to give you a real hug but I'm mentally sending you a cyberhug right now. I can understand why you admire the nurse, but I have much admiration for you and what you did for this pup.

Been running around today.  I hope I catch everyone.

Yay Agnes!  You can sleep on my couch anytime.  I'm just so thrilled that you're feeling well enough to challange things.  You go, puppy!!

So many good vibes for B.  Mostly I just hope for an answer.

Whoever gets Deb as a swapper, you're in luck.  She's GREAT!!

Amanda, I can't believe you have Swine Flu.  That totally bites the big one.  Talk about kicking you while you're down.  Hopefully your canine nurses are up to the task of taking care of you.  So you got a nice clean cast?  Cool!  I just hope you feel better and soon.

Jackie  ((HUGEST HUGS))  I so know where you heart is right now.  It's so hard to let a foster go sometimes.  It's for the best.  Just think how loved she's going to be.  I mean you already showed her so much.  I'm proud to know you.

Alright, I got a second opinion on my foot.  This guy isn't cut crazy.  Anywho,  I had a choice on what I wanted my cast to be & I chose this,

I apologize for the poor picture.  I took it with my cell.  I'm so glad I just got a pedi a few days ago.  Red toes & camo.  It's what all the cool rednecks (or wannabes) are wearing.  I hope this puts a smile on people's faces.

Oh! Geeze!  Glenda, I'm so horrified about Jen's situation.  All my best vibes coming her way for recovery.

    • Gold Top Dog

Yep, Jen is a dog person, cats too, so any pics you've got hanging around!

I've still heard nothing and it's 8PM there........

    • Gold Top Dog

Well don't I feel like a jerk for saying I'd have to go out and buy my own bday present.

FH came home and surprised me with  a 42 inch LG flatscreen tv!  Apparently he bought in on Monday, him and our friend who's kinda a tech geek went to look at them - he came home after that and asked what I wanted and I told him jokeingly that I wanted specifically a 42 inch LG LOL!  FH and our friend could barely contain their laughter!

Of course I also said I wanted a pony....and my actual birthday isn't until Friday.....

    • Gold Top Dog

Stacy!  That's so funny and so fantastic!   What color pony are you wishing for?  LOL   Don't buy a saddle yet just in case....

Thanks everyone for all the hugs.  They sure do help, they do.  Annie, saw your silly foot on fb and laughed like a loon.  Only you.

Glenda, I hope you hear something soon.  I know you must be climbing the walls by now.

    • Gold Top Dog

OMG!  My poor iDoggers and their families!  What am I gonna do with you all?!

Everybody just get better now please!

    {{{Hugs to Jackie}}}

Love that cast Annie!  Amanda, glad yours if fresh and clean, but is it as cool as Annie's?  Bummer bout the Swine Flu.  Judgeing from everyone's reactions, Swine Flu isn't as dangerous as it was a couple months ago right?  We have as of yet, no confirmed cases in my city, according to my nurse friend, so I'm not sure.

Really though, I don't mind being compelled to check up on everyone 3 or 4 times a day.  I normally do anyway, but honestly folks...I can't take much more worrying!

***wanders off to find some soothing chocolate***

    • Gold Top Dog

    Annie, I LOVE the cast!!!!!

Deb, the chicken was a hit!  It was even better because it didn't take a lot of effort on my part.

Tina, I've had a seriously sh!tty year.  I have a great DH & two great kids, so even a my sh!tty year ain't all that bad.

ETA: Candace, my cast is black.  Not nearly as cool as Annie's, but it doesn't show dirt. Yes  Swine flu isn't a big deal.  Our area is dealing with an outbreak right now, so it's not like anyone's response has been "OMG, you have swine flu."  I'm already recovering.  (I was pretty sure that I was dying on Monday & Tuesday.  Today, I'm actually functional.)  I am supposed to stay home for 48 hours after my fever breaks, which pretty much means that I can go back to work on Friday.

Jen update:  Mom called me.  Sis was exhausted and had to get some rest so she called Mom and Mom called me.

The surgery went well.  The surgeon was very pleased.  The abcess was on or in the bone, but hadn't caused any damage to the bone.  If she does ok tonight, they'll let her go home tomorrow.

    Annie, cool cast!
