Mindless Chatter - 2x Tuesday

The last shot I got was bad - I almost punched the lady that gave it to me(*glares* Ohhh nooo, this won't hurt a bit *STAB*).

I had blood work done when I was having bad headaches and dizzy spells....remember the migrain thred? I don't get them anymore - all stress induced, BF went bye-bye so did headaches and dizzyness. Ha! Anyway, I was balling my eyes out because they had to draw blood from my arm - then the women told we she wouldn't hurt me, she had a baby that had 3 open-heart surgeries, she just couldnt hurt anyone or something like that - I felt so bad I just sucked it up and sniffeled the rest of the time.

I'll probably have to do that, I haven't heard of any major case in the past couple years thou....

Fringer pricks don't bother me to much....I want to donate blood, but I just can't...

Busy busy day, but I get to relax now.  Pooch is curled up next to me, DH made me hot chocolate and my pjs are nice and warm, just waiting for me to get into them.  I like really busy, active days because of that feeling of well-earned exhaustion I get at the end of them LOL.

I think I've broken yet another toe...

not sure how, or when, but it has that sharp pain like it is.... *sigh* I'll give it a day, then start buddy taping it if it's still sore. No bruise so far.........

Kate, I love your new signature--that's beautiful.

So. Tired. Want to sleep! Class just exausted me tonight. Type, type, type away!

I've been craving chocolate chip cookies since yesterday but am too tired now to make them. I have the morning off so maybe tomorrow.

Don't know where Ben is....oh well.

It's sooo freaking cold! It's like 30 degrees out tonight. It'll probably get colder throughout the night. YAY....

Yep, so that's my day. Oh and my neck hurts and I still have pains in my abdomen/back/sides and still can't figure out what's going on. *sigh* I give up.

I'm a vet tech, but haven't had the shots.  Mainly because the clinic I work at can't manage to figure out the hows and wheres of getting the techs their shots, so it just doesn't get done.

That said, the rabies vaccination is not given the the stomach.  The shots for treatment of rabies exposure is the one that was given there, but I'm not even sure if they are even still given there.  People often mix the two up.

No the rabies vaccine for those poor bitten souls is no longer in the belly.  It IS however in the bite.  Yeeeeeooooooooowww!  Getting the needle repeatedly stabbed into the fatty side of my knee wasn't so bad, painful, but bearable, however, that needle going into BACK of the knee, righ tat the bend....OMG!  They almost had to peel me off the ceiling.  And then the rest of the first dose went into my rear, both checks, and then some in the arm that hadn't had the tetnus shot.  Felt like a danged pin cushion!  Had to go back 3 days later, then one week later, then two weeks after that, and then four weeks after that.  So shoot, if you can get off with three shots in the arm, which is where our ACO's get them, you get off easy.

Giving blood?  Piece of cat.  My son and I race to see who can fill the bag the fastest!

Joyce, I feel your pain on the jury duty.  I managed to skate the one time I got called.  I pleaded "finally got back to college at the age of 49 and now you want me to MISS TWO WEEKS???  They excused me!  Oh, there was another time...my pain doc said I couldn't sit in a jury box for more than 20 minutes at a time. Hehehe!

Now, as for you folks living in the South....geeze!  Quit your fussing.  Our high today was 24 or 25 and it definately feels like Feb and not November.  The five inches of snow didn't do much for my disposition either.

The tent which WAS housing my deep freeze was almost completely collapsed by the snow, so had to move the freezer and assorted stuff into my friends shed, and take down the soaking wet, snow covered tent.  In 22 degree temps, with white stuff falling in my face.

Believe it or not, I had to take my jacket OFF.  I layer, and I was layered to the hilt!  A cotton teddy, a long sleeved shirt, a light weight turtle neck and a sweatshirt under the jacket, then long johns under the jeans and lined nylon pants over THOSE.  Oh, and two pair of thermal socks under the boots.  That outfit was fine for walking the dogs, and gosh, just watching the fun they were having playing warmed me up.  Foolish Sheba snow plows with her nose, but she LOVES it.

But, it's already down below 20 degrees again.......sigh.  Can I have summer back?  Or at least fall?

Those that think they need the heat on when it's 50 outside, just stop please you are killing me!!!  Big Smile

Willow's blood test didn't come back as we would have liked.  So, unfortunately, the Prednisone continues.

Are you guys in Florida having some kind of cold spell or something? I remember a freeze there a few years back that really screwed up the citrus crop for that particular year.

I know what you mean, but I'm such a wimp when it comes to being cold. I can handle high heat much better than low temps.

I'm sorry about Willow's blood test but hopefully it's just going to take a wee bit longer and she'll be on the mend.

I don't think so, really...we're just a bunch of big babies. It's 48* here now, and the low is 40 tonight. It's just usually not cold like this until after Christmas, like in January. I've gone to the beach on Thanksgiving, for cripes sake!

And brag on ME...the teacher in Pirate and I's class said he, 'really liked the way I handle my dog.' Yay me! I was the only one who wasn't shivering - our class is outside so I put long johns on under my jeans. LOL.
