No the rabies vaccine for those poor bitten souls is no longer in the belly. It IS however in the bite. Yeeeeeooooooooowww! Getting the needle repeatedly stabbed into the fatty side of my knee wasn't so bad, painful, but bearable, however, that needle going into BACK of the knee, righ tat the bend....OMG! They almost had to peel me off the ceiling. And then the rest of the first dose went into my rear, both checks, and then some in the arm that hadn't had the tetnus shot. Felt like a danged pin cushion! Had to go back 3 days later, then one week later, then two weeks after that, and then four weeks after that. So shoot, if you can get off with three shots in the arm, which is where our ACO's get them, you get off easy.
Giving blood? Piece of cat. My son and I race to see who can fill the bag the fastest!
Joyce, I feel your pain on the jury duty. I managed to skate the one time I got called. I pleaded "finally got back to college at the age of 49 and now you want me to MISS TWO WEEKS??? They excused me! Oh, there was another time...my pain doc said I couldn't sit in a jury box for more than 20 minutes at a time. Hehehe!
Now, as for you folks living in the South....geeze! Quit your fussing. Our high today was 24 or 25 and it definately feels like Feb and not November. The five inches of snow didn't do much for my disposition either.
The tent which WAS housing my deep freeze was almost completely collapsed by the snow, so had to move the freezer and assorted stuff into my friends shed, and take down the soaking wet, snow covered tent. In 22 degree temps, with white stuff falling in my face.
Believe it or not, I had to take my jacket OFF. I layer, and I was layered to the hilt! A cotton teddy, a long sleeved shirt, a light weight turtle neck and a sweatshirt under the jacket, then long johns under the jeans and lined nylon pants over THOSE. Oh, and two pair of thermal socks under the boots. That outfit was fine for walking the dogs, and gosh, just watching the fun they were having playing warmed me up. Foolish Sheba snow plows with her nose, but she LOVES it.
But, it's already down below 20 degrees again.......sigh. Can I have summer back? Or at least fall?
