 Ack I hope you get your heat sorted!

I did have to laugh though, I just converted the temp and it's 52 here, when I was out with Ben I was marveling at how warm it is!  I suppose that's because I don't live in Florida.  LOL.  

Ummmm, it's 56 INside here.  22 outside, snowing and nasty.

I feel your pain.

Call your local public utility.  Many will come out and light the pilot light if your unit is natural gas or propane.  I would also call your landlord ASAP.  All of the service companies will be swamped with calls.  I speak from personal experience.  I have worked for an air conditioning/heating contractor for many years.  We get a ton of calls when the first real cold front hits.  No lectures from me but it's always good to get the heaters checked and serviced BEFORE you need them.  Sorry, couldn't stop myself.  Be safe and spend the money to get your unit serviced.  It can save your life or your house.  Ron2 will tell you that even electric heat can be very dangerous.  I hope you can get it working soon.

Had to take my FORD, Found On Road Dead, to the shop this morning.LOL  The switch that goes from cooling to heat isn't working.  I've had to decide which I want more, heat or cool.  I chose heat since it has been cold the last two mornings.

 Today is actually slightly warmer (just above freezing) than yesterday but there is a powerful northern wind - the kind that makes your eyes water and your sinuses ache. Youch! we just finished our walk, which was day two for Bugsy and his new coat.  I think he'll be using it alot this week, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm psyched as I have a couple of strong leads for new clients - oh how I need the business!

I still haven't pulled the trigger on a new camera - I really want it but I am terrible about making the final decision when it comes to larger purchases.  Too many what if's

I'm putting some tunes on and making a new siggy banner.....I can't figure out how to add multiple pics.....anyone any better at this then me? Trust me, thats not hard to beat. Thanks to my own little thred I'm reflecting on Sam and his cues, signals, and alerts. I feel like I've kind of ignored my dog now.....he knows a lot more then I, and most others, give him credit for. For this - he gets a stuffie and a chewie. I should go to petsmart today anyway, if not petsupermarket or some other place. Welp - off to download some nice tunes to kick off my school work!

dang, that's no fun! We tested out our heat last cold snap - all is well in that department!

It's actually really nice out here, for right now. Tonight is supposed to be really cold.

Poor Casey slept under the covers next to me last night, and he never does that!

I don't want to go to my classes today.........I really just don't!

I think I'll make some brownies before I have to leave.... I bought some new mix at the store yesterday. yay!

Now I'm a Floridian who never USES her heat.  I've been in my house 23 years and I've never used it.  I have a couple of oil-filled radiators (not the kind with the heat coil but they actually look and act like a 'radiator' that we use when it gets super cold.  But heated air makes my asthma worse.  So EVERBUDDY was under duvets and microfiber blankets last night and NOBUDDY wanted to get up this morning!! LOL  It was WAY too cozy!

I get calls from transplanted Northeners who just laugh about our "cold fronts".  Now, when their a/c goes out they are crying!  I love to sleep in a very cold room with lots of covers.  Of course, since menopause I really, really love the cold!

My heat does not work!! It is 55* out, and my heat won't come on. The low is FORTY tonight. We only started renting here in May, so we'd never turned it on, before now.

LOL, I haven't even pulled the heaters out of the attic yet.  And have only had 1 or maybe 2 times so far where I've missed them.  But I guess its all what your used to.

Me too! I hate it when it's hot! I can't sleep at all and I get mean. LOL! I keep my ceiling fan going year-round, and I cannot sleep with out it on.

Oh, radiators. When I was a kid we lived in an old, old house that had those big metal steam radiators, and you'd lay your clothes over them when you got up, and then when you'd get dressed they'd be all nice and warm.

lot of work to the woodstove but i just love the radiant heat ...............

ChingChing ( pug mix ) ...... is sleeping in the big chair next to the stove ......... she toooooooooo loves the heat

Honey ( lab/retriever/chow/newfie mix ) is sleeping & dreaming in the office with me .................

Zeus and Rocket ( lab/retriever/chow/newfie mix )........ are loving the outside weather ......... they love winter n brrrrrr butttttt cold

LuLu ( bassetthound ) ......... is off visiting with her human ( my stepson )

i am so not looking forward to the dog walks today ............

 think i will cheat and use the golfcart n blankets n much bundling up  .....

dogs will love it ......... they will get to rip n run n explore galore .....

then they will go for a swim in the creek ................. bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

well ......... i am being loudly summoned by the dogs for their walks ...........................
