Getting A Puppy! (on it's way) *pix added pg.2*

Post the pics.  I want to see them.  I love schnauzers.  My mentor had one who was velcro to her and then when I kept him for a week while they were on vacation he was velcro to me. Too bad they moved. [&:]
What is done is done.  Please stay on this forum, the people here do bite, but not often[;)]
I want to see puppy pictures.[:)]
My lhasa apso actually came from a litter of 13 and she is a smaller breed.

    ETA:
I am sorry this post was missunderstood. I have now deleated the offending part.  What I meant was that I would hope that everyone on the board would stop going 'omg, you got a dog from a byb' and try to get her to stay so that she could learn about dogs and make a more informed descision next time. But that is not how it sounded.  Sorry

    We'll see...will I get creamed if I make a thread once I have the pics?[&:]

I have to say that you are asking an awful lot.......from the website this is most likely a puppy mill and we all have pretty strong opinions on that...and also on byb's.  We ALL love to see puppy pics and I suspect you'll hear far less about byb and mills if YOU stop bringing it up.
    • Gold Top Dog
I'm sorry...I honestly wasn't trying to bring it up.[:)]

That is a BYB, but good luck getting a healthy puppy. I have to say, I paid less than $750 for my purebred, registered, microchipped corgi with champion, health tested parents. >O.o<

So you dont want to hear what people honestly think?

    Ok

It looks like the best [place ever to buy a puppy. I would recomend them to every one I would they look amazing with no health tests and showing and breedeing many different breeds and putting it on the net, they seem like a gem...[sm=rolleyes.gif]

I am delighted to hear that your folks got a male instead of a female.

Please post some pictures soon. Pretty please?

    ORIGINAL:iluvbo
    Really? Why? What's the difference?

Scroll up to my 3:46:00 ;p;post.  Male mini-Schnauzers are less likely than the females to have sick sinus syndrome - a relatively common heart problem in mini-Schnauzers.

No matter what breed one gets and no matter how/where one gets a dog, it is a very good idea to become familiar with the health problems that are in the gene pool of the breed.

iluvbo's parents bought the pup.  It is a done deal.  All we can do now is hope that the pup is healthy.  Beating a dead horse is not going to be productive (except that I love that icon - LOL).[sm=beatdeadhorse.gif]

iluvbo, all new pups should get a health checkup ASAP.  I hope your parents plan to get the new pup into the vet tomorrow.  Do not wait - the pup may need to be wormed and you don't want worms in your yard.
    • Gold Top Dog
He has been wormed.[;)]  But he is going in first thing tomorrow.[:D]
    And I have pictures.[:D][:D][:D]
    • Gold Top Dog
Well, I have no clue if he is healthy or not. We talked to the vet there that he went to and they say yes. But we are taking him in tomorrow to *really* see if he is. His tummy is atad swollen and he is gassy. So..I dunno. We shall see.
Now for the good stuff. He's SO small and loves to play. lol

I am really uncomfortable about this whole thread. Usually I would be joyous and thrilled at any new owner/pet experience.

Why the silence on this?  Because the OP told the board...no negative comments?

Are we so forum correct that we direct our answers accordingly, for fear we are off topic?  Ugh.....i am really disturbed.

I get it.   The pups on its way.  Deed is done.  I can't express my sadness that again,  another breeder is rewarded for being a business...and nothing more...

It makes my heart heavy and my blood boil.

"Don't worry, these people normally shut up about where the dog came from after a little bit."

    Really?
Never let the lurkers think that is truth.

The OP is a child who is mourning the loss of a beloved, elderly family dog and whose parents bought a puppy.  The parents didn't ask the opinions of those on this forum.  Trying to make a child feel bad for something over which he/she had little or no control would be cruel IMO.

Let the OP enjoy his/her puppy.  Continued participation in this forum will teach the OP what he/she needs to know for the future.

    I agree.

Iluvbo- Congrats on your puppy- he's adorable!! Mini Schnauzers are one of my favorite breeds. That's good that your parents are getting him to the vet soon. My new puppy, Fudge, had been de-wormed several times but he still had roundworms.

Anyway, don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have about taking care of your puppy. I know people will be more than happy to help you. [:)]
