The shelter I work at has a $150 adoption fee for dogs except some that are reduce for $75 or two-for-one. I inherited Fergie from my BF's mom who passed away. So far he's already cost me about $220 for the kennel, the food bowls, some toys and everything else I needed to get started. If he gets sick, I just have to take him back to where I got him from and they will cover the expenses - at least for the first 30 days!
