    Oh geez....lets see:

Mayo, Mustard, Green and Yellow veggies, Ketchup, Mexican food (and im mexican), BBQ sauce, seafood (xcept shrimp), beans, salads, salad dressing, cooked tomatoes, onions, cold pizza, ricotta cheese.....I could fill this page with things I dont like.  I am 39 and have the exact same eating habits of most 5 yr olds.  Oh, and my food can't touch!

My list is very long so I`ll just say the two worst things that I can think of that I`ve had in my mouth.

    beef tongue

rocky mountain oysters ( I would rather have Molly chew on a bully stick and you know where they come from.)

I am not a picky person at all, but I have to agree with Gina on the okra and add lichis (sp?).  I can't get past the texture on either of those - blech!

Brussels sprouts, okra (unless it's in Gumbo), sardines, anchovies, sushi. eggs any way but scrambled and any red meat that isn't totally and completely well done all the way through.

The only thing mentioned that I don't like is oysters. I love food.

But I don't love sweet potatoes. I hate them!  But that's about it.

Anything with a slimey texture does me in.  Okra, unless deep fried, raw fish stuff, steamed clams and food of that consistency.  Fresh coconut is ok,rarely, but you can have the rest....flaked, dried, whatever they do to it.

I'm not a picky eater, but some stuff I'm not likely to give a second try!

Are you talking about oysters from the water or rocky mountain oysters????? Big difference between the two.

    let's see...

i can't stand raw onions, mushrooms, raw tomatoes are big ones (texture is nasty and slimy), cantelope, (but i'm allergic to it, so i dunno if it counts), most mexican food (i live in TX, but my pallete is still from the north- anything spicy makes me gag), Taco bell and Arbys.

I can't stand okra unless it's fried or buried in something.

I can't stand brussel sprouts. So what did my mother and/or grandmother just have to fix about once a week? Brussel sprouts. But I had two choices. I could eat what is on the plate or go hungry. And if I didn't eat the serving on the plate, I would not get dessert. And whining about it got you a slap or a spanking, whichever was handiest. So, I learned to suppress the gag reflex and eat the brussel sprouts first so that they would not be the last taste in my mouth. There's literally a world of greens out there but they couldn't get away from brussel sprouts.

But I have been without food before, one time, for 5 days. No home, no food. And if someone fixes something I don't like, I will eat at least one serving of it, thankful for not having to go hungry. My wife likes okra. So she had to fix some one night. I didn't like it but I ate because she wanted to have it with dinner and she knows I don't like okra.

Onions, I really really hate onions. It's a hard food to hate because it seems so many people put onions in so many foods. When I go to a restuarant I have to ask and make sure there are no onions in any food I order.

I love meatballs and the last 2 times I went out to eat and ordered them, I cut the meatballs and even after asking, there were onions in it. That ruined my appetite, no dinner for me those nights.

Yeah, I'm not veg*n but I like most fresh foods (yet I really don't care for junk foods).  My 'hated' foods are very few and there's a reason:

bananas -- let's just say a bad childhood and leave it at that.  (Gina you can get in line with me on that one)

asparagus -- when I was 9 I had a neural infection and was paralyzed for 3 months in the hospital.  When they served asparagus you could smell it ALL OVER the hospital.  I can barely be across the table from it.

cooked carrots -- I love raw, and I don't mind them cooked IN something, but it's another childhood thing I think.  Mom says I loved them as a baby but somewhere I O.D.'d on cooked carrots.

coconut -- I occasionally don't mind it in something but particularly the smell of it is lethal.  Reason?  When I was in college I had bought a fresh coconut to munch on during exams week.  (I LOVED coconut then).   I got the intestinal flu -- let's just say I've got a bad memory of coconut now.

My only other food weirdness is I really don't like sweet + meat.  Like I don't eat ketchup on a hamburger.  I don't like sweet BBQ sauce.  I don't like sweet & sour, etc.  I guess I just prefer my sweets at dessert.  It's not a deal killer - just a preference.

I grew up in a home where you HAD to eat everything.  I don't consider that a bad thing ... and particularly since I've been with David I've learned to adventure into just about anything.  Tastes and textures are just new things I may not have discovered  yet.

Fish or any seafood in red sauce

Anything that reminds me of a loogey...like steamed clams, mussells, oysters, calamari, runny eggs, etc.

Not big on brussel sprouts, cabbage, or sauerkraut (sp?)

Odd little salty fishies like sardines and anchovies

Dark meat of any source...especially liver

    Eggnog

    PRUNES...ack!

    • Gold Top Dog

I hate any kind of fish or seafood!  Not a big fan of Chinese or Mexican foods either!  I have so many things that I will not eat but those are at the top of my list!
