Well, it looks like this is my goodbye thread.

I think it is appropriate to question a breeder. At all times. I think it is very appropriate to question a breeder that breeds above or below breed standards for weight. I have a dog that is above breed standard for weight. He's also a bit long for his bre

First, thank you so much for the kind words. I read every post and they all meant more than you can imagine. I honestly didn't realize that people enjoyed reading my posts or that I would be missed. I figured I would just say a general goodbye.

A couple of people on this thread had a very good point though about using the block function. That's really good advice and I'm going to take it. Otherwise I'm just letting a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch, because I do really enjoy being part of this forum. [:)] I will say though that I'm never setting myself again for people to have a field day judging me. Apparently I'm too sensitive for that. So basically I think I'll just respond to other people's threads, hopefully helping where I can, and post pics.

To the people who think the thread I mentioned shouldn't have been "enough" to make me want to leave- It really isn't up to anyone else to decide what is too much for a person to handle or if that's the "right" reason to be upset. Also consider that there may have been other things that you didnt know about. That's a really good example of walking a mile in another person's shoes before judging because you'll never know all the things that a person has gone through. Although I did mention in my original post here that there were other incidents before this one. It was really a case of the straw breaking the camel's back for me.

I see no where Luvntzus said I found a puppy on line What do you think should I get her? What do you think of on line breeders? What I did read was Getting a new Shih Tzu puppy- so excited! Deposit was sent. In my mind that meant just as much as if the puppy was sitting on Tamaras lap as she was typing - so excited. Did you really think putting her and Cupcake down would change her mind so she wouldn`t get Cupcake in the end.

Thank you Mollymoo for understand. That's EXACTLY how I felt.

Keep in mind too that when Tamara was having some problems with Cinnabun I think some members here where less than supportive of her decision to rehome (but I don't remember specifics at all).  There might be some bad feelings left over from that which may have fueled the situtation,  thus making her feel bad about a decision regarding her adorable fur family again.

    You're completely right.

Good for you. A saying that my friend Lee would use is a latin phrase, "illegitimus non carborundi."

    It's worth looking up.

IMO- I think some of the things stated on the thread that caused this one to come into being were uncalled for. I thought somewhere here on the forum that it said if you already had a pup no mater where it came from it was a done deal and no ranting about it. But If someone asked about getting a pup from a not so good place then you could inform the person. Now I`m not saying luvntzus is getting her puppy from a bad place either. I don`t know the breeder and neither do you only she does. I can see why she had the other thread shut down.

Can`t we just congratulate her on her new pup and be here for her if any questions arise in raising Cupcake and Gingerbread & Fudge for that matter. Just like anyone else here on this forum with a dog or a pup that have questions.

Tamara posted that thread so we could be excited and happy with her on getting a new pup. Not to have people start in on her and making hurt feelings.
which was supposed to be a happy thing and a few people have managed to ruin.

I thought that I have read this some where on the forum also - The pup is already born and now it needs a home. Tamara will give this little pup a very good and stable home. This I know.

I do think that (in their own minds) the people were trying to help. But Failed to realize that the pup was already in its new home (maybe not physically) but in Tamaras heart.

Now remember what I said in the every beginning this is In My Opinion. Maybe not yours but it is mine.

I can dig what you're saying but keep in mind that the majority on this board, myself included, support responsible breeding practices. Whenever we see red flags, we will say something about it. It's not meant to be harsh or mean, it's because some of us know the heartache of irresponsible breeding and we'd hate to see someone go through that. Quite honestly, to pat someone on the back and congratulate them from getting a dog from an irresponsible breeder, not saying that the breeder Tamara is getting Cupcake from is irresponsible because I don't know the exact details, would be hypocritical in what I believe in. I wouldn't want to give newbies or those lurking the impression that it's ok to buy from irresponsible breeders because it's not.

With that said, I have enjoyed Tamara's posts and I enjoy seeing her babies. However, her post in regards to where she's getting Cupcake from did send up red flags and considering that she's been on the board for a while and is considered to be a friend to many, we'd hate to see her end up in a potentially bad situation. We're just looking out for one of our own. I hope she understands that. [:)]

Announcements scream of wanting to see a thread of supporters and then staying.

    Something wrong with that?

Wrong no but really a cry for attention. I would have bet the title to my Harley she wouldn`t go other wise she would have just left. Every had a 10 year old threaten to run away? Gym bag packed saying "I`m leaving"  goodbye "I`m really leaving" OK be careful " OK I`m going now" 15 minutes later they`re dunking Oreo`s in milk and getting ready for bed. Crisis over.

Everything is now warm and fuzzy.

I`m glad to see you are back. Oh boy now we get to see pictures of the cute little fur babys. Although I do like you input on the forums also. So I hope you continue that too. Maybe in time huh.

I too try to walk softly on the forum. But sometime I just can`t help myself.

    Again glad you are back.

I don't see anything wrong with wanting a little acknowledgement, reassurance or appreciation. It's nice to be reminded that you're of value, even if it is just on an internet forum. Also, I highly doubt Tamara was trying to get attention, maybe she did not want to send out a bunch of PMs and a post stating her reasons for leaving was what she felt would do the trick. If she had just posted "Hey, I'm leaving this forum, bye!" I bet a lot of people would ask why.

Just my 2 cents. *tip toeing away*

not saying that the breeder Tamara is getting Cupcake from is irresponsible because I don't know the exact details,

Lets just leave it at that.

Please if you want to debate what I said either Pm me (I will read it but my not reply)or start your own thread.

Tamara is back with us and I am happy. Don`t put a damper on it. Please

Well thank you for adding your two cents. [&o] Please don't say it wasn't meant as an attack because otherwise you would have just thought it to yourself instead of actually posting it here. When I posted this thread I was resolved to leave. I've been here for over a year and felt like I should say a general goodbye to everyone. I got e-mails and private messages and then checked on this thread. I didn't expect any of that.

Normally, I don't believe in coddling cries for attention but I don't think that your initial post was to get attention. I think a number of people here have taken a net "beating" and the level of acrimony has seemed to rise with the flood waters. Maybe everyone's got cabin fever. Anyway, this is a community, of sorts, and your not the only one to express a problem with how things seem to pan out. Even our beloved moderator has taken respites, now and then.

When you first came here, you were full of spit and fire, especially in the nutrition threads. But you learned to temper your words and provide more help than before. In the words of our illustrious doggy-angel moderator, you get better results with honey.

And I stand by my previous advice. Don't let things or words wear you down.

In the sweet adoring tones of one of my mom's old boyfriends, Master Flight Sgt. Reeves, delivered at an ear splitting volume a few inches from your ear,

"On your feet, soldier! Muster in 15 minutes."

Lol, darnit Ron, I think you're the only one who remembers that! [:D] You're right though, and what happened is that I was on the receving end a couple of times and I realized that I didn't like it. Since then I've tried really hard to see things from other people's point of view, to have an open mind, and above all to be nice. I don't always succeed, but all you can do is try, try again.
