Nobody#%92s opinion or perception is ever WRONG. Those are that person#%92s feelings on the subject, however unpopular or misunderstood they are. An opinion can#%92t be WRONG. Whatever other disagreements we may have, there should be a mutual respect for other#%92s opinions. 

So paris hilton's perception that she could still drive on a suspended licence was not WRONG? Huh, I don't think so. Wrong is wrong. If I percieve the CBD to be the cystic duct and ligate it, i'm not wrong? That doesn't make any sense sorry. This isn't a political argument that has multiple sides and points.

I'm saying one person cannot say someone else's perception is wrong. That's their perception, and just because it differs from someone else's does not make it wrong.

Of course an opinion can be wrong, Kelly.  If I am of the opinion that tomorrow is Tuesday, I am wrong.  A feeling can be wrong too.  For example, Shelly has the feeling that I want her body, but she is soooooo wrong in soooooo many different ways.  []

Absolutely agree.  One's opinion or perception is theirs to own, somewhat like a body part we won't discuss....we've all got one.  However, flogging others with that opinion or perception, or deliberately baiting the administrator of this forum IS wrong.  Quite honestly, if I were Kelly, someone would be getting a little vacation long about now.  Lucky for all that SHE gets to make the calls and not me.......

Well things have been pretty slow around here, but I can't believe this debate is still going on, so I might as well just say what is on my mind (like everyone else).

This whole STUPID debate was not about whether this icon depictes animal abuse. IT CLEARLY DOESN'T - unless people decide to insert it in a particular place where hitting, punishing or abusing animals is being discussed. This icon could have been used a zillon times with no one getting offended or paying it much notice, but OH NO!, someone just couldn't resist and had to slip it into a CM post right off the mark. I think everyone (who was aware) has been skirting around this fact rather than risking 'red ink' for a personal attack. If this person had have just apologised, defended or explained herself, this would have been as dead as the horse IMO.

For further clarification.  The icon in question was inappropriately used by another member and that interpretation offended a minority group within the forum.  The OP further offended by entering the discussion thread and offerred no apology. 

I also find it curious that the OP chose to post in the debate but decided to take no responsibility for it. I am glad the icon has remained as I am sure no one else will MISUSE it. Just because one individual can't play nice, shouldn't mean the toys are taken away from all the 'children'.

Everyone is bored with that one Billy, so stop [sm=beatdeadhorse.gif] don't you remember that we hashed this out over about 2 pages on Amanda's "jeep wrangler" thread.  If you recall, and it CLREARLY states this in the email, I was hoping to utilize the cloning function that my photography mentor had just taught me. The cloning technique can enhance some areas on your pics that might be a little "lacking" and getting the skin tone just right and looking natural would be a big challange for me.   []
