Ugly Dog

Geez, most of them are old Cresteds! Cresteds have a genetic tendency to bad teeth, and most lose their teeth by the time they're 5 or 6. That's why thier tongues hang out.

    Some of those are CUTE!

I totally agree!! I love hairless crested  dogs. I especially like Tator Tot. I would take him anyday!!
And I was surprised to see a perfectly normal looking pug on there. He didn't even have any deformities (that I could tell from the pic). Whats wrong with the pug?? He seems perfect and adorable to me!!

On the day that I met with Lori and Mr. Big, we were standing together chatting while the three dogs got to know one another.  I had the two shepherds, Lori had Big. A couple guys stopped and of course were all praise about how beautiful the gsds were and then the older man looked at Big and said "that ones so ugly he's almost cute".  I had only just met Big, but I wanted to slap the guy for being so cruel and insensitive to the fact that, appearance aside, somebody loved that dog ALOT.

This is the only ugly Doberman I've ever seen...

ha ha ha  I have seen that before and I admit that IS ugly... lol

I can't imagine telling someone their dog is ugly.  I get hurt enough when someone says Sally "looks mean."  I just think it's rude and unecessary.

Then again, IDK about dogs, but I am attracted to horse breeds that many people find ugly.  Appaloosas, Standardbreds, etc.

Im seriously afraid to go to sleep, I may dream about all these strange pictures.

I don't think my dogs are ugly, but hey, who knows?  Maybe someone out there thinks that dogs with Napoleon complexes, perky ears, a very robust (read slightly fat) figure, and stumpy extremities are ugly.  I don't fault them for that.  But if they were to tell me that, well I may feel differently.

To each their own, but I think it's just common courtesy not to come up to someone, or walk past them and say "Wow, what an ugly dog (baby, shoe, what have you)."

When I first found Sara I was trying to find her a home. I wne tot my parents and my Step fathers brother was there. I asked him if he was interested. He said "she is so cute, I would love to take her, let me think about it."  His GF was there and she asked what kind of dog sara was and he turns and says to her in FRENCH "I don't know, it's an ugly F'n mutt"  My husband speaks french so he was so givin away. It took everything I had not to turn around and say something.

Oh I sooo would have... grrr... and two faced to boot!

My dad always said he would see ugly kids who's parents thought were adorable and wonder if his kids were really ugly and no one wanted to tell him.  Now I wonder that about my kids and dogs.  Somehow I doubt it. lol

Awwww... bless their little hearts.  They sure aren't the best lookin doggies on the block, are they?  I'd never be the one to say out loud "that's an ugly dog!" I might say 'yep' in agreement tho. [;)]  My husband is usually the one that will blurt it out... and it's usually about a dog on tv so nobody is offended lol

I'd still adopt any of them... providing they didn't try to eat one of my doggies.[:D]

yep i've seen some ugly dogs.
Whinny actually is ugly to many people, and once i had a complete stranger say to me, "that sure is an ugly dog" which is fine, i can see how people might think she is ugly . i thought it was weird that he said it outloud though!
anyway i bet some ugly dogs make excellent pets inspite of their looks.

Ohhhh......I think Whinny is a total cutie (looks like a sweet girl too)!
