thanks Julie! I am happy that it is a nice couple buying the car.

I miss biking with B - he would run faster than my bike gearing so he wound up pulling me, scary but fun.

His little pointer buddy is sick :( and staying in vet care tonight , he aspirated some vomit and has pneumonia.

Doug the pup is a handsome boy!

I just remembered that DH is home for two weeks, that means I don't need to add food for B, after two weeks with DH I will be cutting back again

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about Pax. I hope he's ok. I'm sending tons of get well vibes fro him.  Bugsy try not to get too fat while your Dad's home. :)  Glad to hear you sold your ex car and that it went to a good home. :)

My BIL died in his sleep Saturday night. He was a rock for our family through some very tough times.  He's been in very bad health the last few years. He'll be greatly missed. I can picture him in the afterlife. He's gambling, drinking whiskey and smiling.

Michele, I saw your comment about Hurley not being well. Sending lots of good thoughts and vibes your way.

Jackie (hugs) .  Sorry to hear about your BIL.  I am quite certain he will meet a few of our relatives based on your description.  I have to think he is at peace now.

Hmm strange -- I did post on Friday and it's not here.  Then again -- that was about how my Friday "went".  /////

There is a bad "screech" in my PT when I turn left.  It is, however, "intermittent".  Long, ugly story -- I've had it back 4 times, they claim they can never hear it, altho they paid enough attention to charge me almost $1500 to install new brakes and 2 new motor mounts & new "squirts" .... except now water  is pouring in the car on the passenger side every time it rains, now I have "intermittent" electrical problems (like idiot lights and windows not going up/down) which gee, I kind think might be linked to the water problem ... but no, tell me they could NOT possibly have screwed this up?

Add to that the never-ending back spasms and I just wanted to cuddle my dogs all weekend and all 3 obliged.  I think I'm going to renew my efforts to get Charlie hired as a weather caster for a local station.  He's infallible. ... They .. aren't.  *giggle*

Callie, the stress of on-going car troubles is enough to cause back spasms, so I'm sorry to hear you've got that added worry on top of your recurring back issues.  Keep cuddling those dogs until you feel better!

Jackie, I'm sorry to hear about your BIL.  I bet he's found plenty of fun friends to hang with at the card tables or casinos in the after-life.  Wink  With all the issues we're having with my MIL and her failing health now, we've been talking a lot about end-of-life things, and as heartbreaking as it is for someone to die without much warning (i.e., you don't get to say goodbye or prepare for the worst, like you do when someone is gravely ill), we agreed that dying in one's sleep is much easier for the person who dies . . . the thought of suffering like some do is too much to bear.  Sending good thoughts to all your extended family, Jackie.

Busy weekend -- a friend who moved out-of-town last year came on Saturday.  We did a progressive dinner downtown:  appetizers at one place, entrees at another, then dessert at the place I went to last week.  We shared their LAST pot-de-creme, and it was just as delicious this time!  Yesterday we went to a huge art fair -- fun to look at things, but 99% of them were way too expensive for our budgets.  But people sure are talented in all kinds of mediums!

The too much rain we've had lately make me afraid that when my tomatoes started to ripen, they will crack open.  I posted this weekend, but don't see that post either, Callie.

I had *almost* a full nights sleep last night!!  Since I've been put on meds and not allowed to drive (last Tuesday) I've been gradually getting a bit more sleep each night.  HEAVENLY!!!  When you have gone 8 weeks without a solid nights sleep....just 2-3 hours a night, its incredible how wonderful it feels to get more!  The brain is feeling far less muddled and I'm far less cranky now!

Not meaning to interfere but maybe to make it easier we could have a new weekly chat that I can sticky at the beginning of every week? Just a suggestion! Either way, I love reading through this chat! :)
