I only know bits and pieces but it was a temperament thing however it was not really the dog that was the problem, if you get my drift.

That's a shame if what you are surmising is true.  Makes me think of JRT's and how many are PTS for behavior problems when they're just being terriers and need owner's who understand the breed and how to channel the drive and energy.

Friday is bring Tootsie to work day and she loves it! She greets each customer with a very careful sniff and if she deems you alright she throws in a butt/tail wagging. Now, if she really likes you she'll talk and growl at you to get more pets. Many people take her growling as "uh oh shes upset", but really its her way of talking. Today, my boss, me and a sales rep were talking in a circle and Tootsie not to be excluded, layed down in the middle of the circle and went to sleep. Such a spoiled princess!

Abbie and Lily need to get back in shape. They got pretty flabby this winter. Even though the scale says they really didn't gain weight, they are rolly polly when they move. I can't feel any ribs at all. Cutting back on their food isn't going to do much at this point since they don't eat much to begin with. It's all exercise that they need (and me too!). The best exercise for them is running off leash. I'm thinking of trying a springer on my bike this year but I don't think I can do that with Abbie. She has too many fear issues for it probably. Lily would love it though.

Timmy understands winter weight Abbie and Lily. Maybe you can all go running together? Tim's gotten a bit flabby as well over the winter, he doesn't really look bigger to see him, but he has this roll when he lies down. It's a little silly looking. He just doesn't get the same exercise in the winter as he does in the summer. We will bike with him as soon as we are able. We got the springer for him last year and he loves it.

Bugsy loves to run with the bike but the surgeon said no more Sad

Weight-wise he is much more likely to gain in the summer - I suppose due to the heat - he dropped some weight from October to December (at last weigh in) and he seems to have kept if off.  i bet he looks better but gains once we start swimming again

Which reminds me he has also in the last few months developed the habit of trying to eat things along the walk - we never had to even think about that so its a hassle.  Yesterday he found a cupcake paper and then at the lake ate something crunchy. Today he went right over a handful of french fries, go figure.

Bevo loses weight during the winter.  Think felony skinny, can't keep weight on him due to constant shivering, skinny.  He actually weighed less than Cher when I weighed them both last week.    Currently, he's eating around 7 pounds of food a day, plus a couple of cups of kibble.  He's also staying jacketed full time.  He looks a little better, so hopefully this is working.  He's eating us out of house & home! ;)

Cher can run a full set of blinds, under total control.  Otherwise, she's still a huge turd.

We are setting goals for this spring/summer.  Hopefully, we'll go for Cher's BH in April, along with some rally work.  Then on to obedience classes in early summer.  I am going to try to bring Bev out for a few non-regular classes, as well as doing some tracking.  He is coming up on 8, & although he is,for the most part, healthy, I have to remind myself to not push him too hard.

After almost 2 years, Brutus has a recall!!!  He got to run, with a drag line, loose in the pasture over the weekend.  I'm hoping to phase out the drag line soon.

Neiko and abbie are playing like crazy lately. This is so not the norm. Usually neiko is too coward by her bossiness that he gives her lots of space. Now they are playing lots of tug and he is nose jabbing her like he does with lily when he wants to play. Its amazing. I wonder what has changed.

Speaking of nose jabbing, I have never seen a dog be such a nose jabber. He nose jabs everything including me! And he does it hard too! So hard that when he nose jabs other dogs, it phsycially moves their entire body! You would think that would hurt.

Jackson's a nose jabber too. Thankfully he doesn't do it hard, he just works hard to get it in there...

They've dug under, dis-lodged the main gate, tried to claw their way through or over....I've always wondered how long it would take before someone tried the obvious?  One year, eight months.

The good thing is, he jumps it back and forth just for the sake of jumping it (it's fun!).  The shepherds throw a fit if they get stuck OUTside the fence without me there.  Coke is the real escape artist but he's on a tie-out inside the fence and can't reach the short gate.  One month and three days until we move.  Six foot privacy fence....

I love that he took his wubba with him!!

    Six foot privacy fence....

Rex cleared our six foot privacy fence without much trouble.  We had to put up two feet of hardware cloth all across the top of the fence.......

Belle figured out a few months ago that she could climb the fence at the ballpark.  Angry

Wow Lies!  At least he jumps back though!

I am banning Zukes training treats from this house!  Both Chief and Finn get horrible gas when they eat them.  I never had a problem with them while training Benny and then Finn came along and got horrible gas from them.  So when I started training Chief I thought I'd give them another try. BAD IDEA!  I am gagging here today!  No more Zukes.

Anyone else experience this with these training treats?  My trainer highly reccommends them, but there is something in there that just gives my dogs the most awful gas.
