She also grumbles at the alarm clock now on occasion.

Tee hee! Rascal does that too! Well, he groans, not grumbles. Quite the way I feel when the alarm goes off in the morning ;)

This first time she did it, I thought I heard wrong. The second time she did it, I cracked up! Of course, now that I've laughed, she's far more inclined to continue that behavior hehe.

Ari is getting a bath today. She doesn't know it yet. But, I'm preparing myself mentally for stink eyes, followed by sad pathetic eyes, followed again by stink eyes lol, while she's in the tub. She does behave in the tub but man oh man the looks! It will be of course followed by the super special game of towel dry off. This game is played by her acting like a bull charging into the towel and me tackling her onto the ground to dry her off. She LOOOOVES this! Such a weird creature lol.

 Bugsy found a dead baby possum this morning - he was all excited, sniffing like mad but when he got to it, sniffed it, he just looked at me and bummer its dead.  Pee'd on it and moved on.

Bugs, don't hold back.  Tell your mom how you reaaly feel. Oh, piss on it, it's dead. ~L~

Grady is quite happy today.  I cleared of his picnic table.  All is right in his world yet again.

 Tootsie, has been acting "off" the past few days. Fast forward to today, shes back!. Barking, nosy, always at my feet, etc...

Thank doG I went home for lunch today.  Twister had knocked all his blankets off the couch.  No telling how long the little guy suffered before I got home.  ~lol~

lol, sounds like Twister and Rascal would like to hang out together. I can see it now, their day jam-packed with activities: nap, snuggle under blanket, move to something else and nap on it, more blankets, get EXTRA comfortable, nap more, pee inside (too cold out), etc. etc. etc. :-p

LOL, I'm sure they would be great pals.  As long as neither one tried to steal blankets or nap spots from each other. 

 we are in a hotel and Bugsy is sniffing like a lunatic, staring at the walls, and generally behaving as if there is a poltergeist

 julie I am totally freaked and DH is laughing although I can see he's a bit worried too! It looks clean and all but he even sniffed the pipes that are under the sink - while following a scent up from the floor.

This is going to be a long night LOL

Well, I recently learned some sad news and some good news about Nikon's littermates....

First the sad news, I learned from my Schutzhund trainer that his litter brother Baby Duke was put to sleep.  This is Baby Duke the day we made the picks and took our puppies home (yes this dog was a TANK!!)

Now for the better news, Nikon's litter sister Billie just had her first litter and one of her puppies is blue!!  I've never seen a blue west German line GSD before, probably because breeding in Germany/Europe is much more strict and a blue puppy would be culled.  In GSDs blue is just incorrect pigment, there are NO health problems associated with undesirable colors so the breeder is keeping the puppy.  It will be fun to watch it grow!

 So sad about Baby Duke =( Momma and the puppies look well though!

Ari's playing nursemaid today and keeping my significant other company (he's home sick). I'm constantly amazed at the type of dog she's turned out to be. Don't get me wrong, her mischievous side is a mile wide lol, but if we're sick or upset, she's right there calmly next to us. I never expected that from her considering she was the devil's spawn as a pup. A couple days ago, I was close to tears. She SENSED from upstairs I was about to cry, came flying down and practically jumped in my lap while kissing my face. Then she just snuggled me until I felt better. Her face was just saying to me "It'll be ok."

Then, as per usual, she's back to stealing socks, underwear, pillows and goosing me in the butt lol.

Liesje, what happened that resulted in Duke being PTS?  Billie's blue pup is very unique and cool looking.

I only know bits and pieces but it was a temperament thing however it was not really the dog that was the problem, if you get my drift.  My SchH trainer was working with them privately.  When he described what he initially saw in the dog I was actually pleased, as it sounded like a dog I would have enjoyed owning and quite a bit like Nikon which is nice to have consistency in a litter.  I have my opinions about the "issues", but I'll keep my mouth shut since I don't really know the owners.  From what I know this is not the first time they'd had "issues" with a dog (different lines/breeder).
