Where and How does your dog sleep?

    • Silver
Dogs that sleep outside do NOT get critters on them.  It depends how you look after your dog.

Yes mine might sleep outside but thats where he likes to be as it is cooler outside then inside of a night during summer. Mine has NEVER had fleas or ticks or any sort of critters from  sleeping outside.

Dogs that spend time outside have the potential of picking up ticks and fleas, so it isn't fair to say that dogs who sleep outside will get them which implies that dogs who sleep inside will not.  That said, I still don't want my dogs sleeping outside.  Their crates are downstairs on the lower level where it naturally stays cooler, and I've been known to leave the AC running for them when I'm out, where I have yet to turn it on for ME.

The ">_>" at the end of my statement was to refer that I was being sarcastic, or was not to be taken seriously.

I've noticed that some of our newer members use some wierd sort of hyroglyphics and expect that everyone ELSE knows what the heck they mean.  We don't.  There are all sorts of smileys that you can select from to convey attitude.....">_>" means absolutely nothing to me.

[:D] That's because I saved his cookies and got him a bed that would not throw him! He won't touch the bed that threw him with a ten foot pole:

lol But, Mitzi has decided that the bed that threw Zippy is the PERFECT Mitzi bed... I've found her on it quite a few times! Unfortunately my digital camera met with a cruel and untimely death, so I have no pics of Mitzi on the bed that threw Zippy. :(

My puppy sleeps at random places in the house during the day (but they have to be wherever I am, of course [;)] cause he follows me so much) and at night he sleeps in his crate by my bed because he's not house-trained yet.

Smart boy Zippy! Mom is just being mean to my lil boy.... [&:]

My old bulldog sleeps on top on my covers between my legs.  If she gets chilled, (I feel her ears periodically), I cover her with her fleece doggie blankee.  SHe overheats so much I don't start the nite with the blanket on her.  When hubby leaves for work at 5AM, he covers her up.

My golden/gordon sleeps on the floor next to me on a cordoroy bed.  He needs more air than us so i leave the window cracked for him

Louise sleeps in her crate at night.   She wakes up at 6:30 every morning, goes outside to potty, eats breakfast and then she comes and sleeps in the bed with me for a while longer.

I would suggest that if you wish to be understood that you stick with the smileys that are here for that purpose.  I'm not going to save your post and refer to it as a guide everytime you post something...I doubt that others will either.

It's kind of like insisting on speaking German in a room full of English speaking people, just cuz you can.  No one is going to understand you and they'll likely think that you are just being rude.

Abby has a Blanket in the garage for lounging during the day and yes she has a private fan that blows on her all day.  At night she has a special corner of the family room where she retires to when ever she feels like a nap or to sleep which she does alot of.  And she sleeps on her back with all four ub the air![:)]

In no was I implying you use my post as a guide, and I didn't even know you can save a post for later use. I was replying to your earlier post and just letting you know that >_>  and <_< are shifty eyes. The rest was for fun. Lighten up.

Just as a point of information, telling someone to Lighten up, is also considered poor form and rude.

I actually take this forum very seriously.  Yes, there are fun and silly threads, but there are a lot of really important threads where people need...and find...real help.

I simply pointed out to you that no one understands your tone when you use odd little ;punctuation to convey that tone.  That's what the smileys are for.  If you choose not to use them and continue to be misunderstood, that's your choice.
