I have never been so scared...

Glad you guys weren't more seriously hurt!

Wow, glad you are both OK.  Ditto on what the others said, though - do get checked out, and have the vet look at Tootsie, too.  Dogs are stoic, remember.

Wow, I'm so glad that you & Toots are not seriously hurt.  That is my biggest fear that I get in an accident & Grady is hurt & I can't get to him.  I'm so sorry that this happened & am glad that you & Toots are getting checked out.  I don't know who you have for insurance but Progressive is supposed to cover your dog if they're involved in an accident.

((HUGS)) I'm so glad you're okay.

So scarey for you and Toots!!  How are you both feeling today?

Wow that is scary! I've been hit, have been the hitter and also a passenger.  It's very scary and an awful experience.  I hope you are not too sore today, though I know you will be.

    <> for you both!!

Tiff I am so glad you BOTH are alright physically. Car wrecks are incredibly scary. My only real one was when Lily was a tiny kid...maybe 1 year old and the lady REAR ENDED US...I about died from fright and worry about Lily back there in her little safety seat.

I am again so glad you both are okay and be sure to take care of yourself and Toots!!

Just seeing this, hope you both are feeling ok today.   I know those car wrecks can put your body in shock whether you think you are hurt or not.  Good idea going to the Dr.  Hubby didnt one time, found several hours later he had  a banged up knee and foot, then he had to go to hospital emergency.   I got on to him and told him if he ever finds himself in that position again go to the hosp.   After all he had broken his neck in an accident in 1998, you just dont take any chances.

I am sorry to hear that! I know how scary that can be! I was with a rescue Hurricane Katrina dog, on our way to the vet and someone rear ended us on the highway. It was so scary and I did that same thing- I yelled at the lady about the dog and not myself. She was on a cellphone while driving! Thankfully, the dog was okay. My sister and I on the other hand didn't think we were hurt but the next day and for weeks after we were in pain with compacted spines and all that. Thank goodness for chiropractors! Get well, and I am so glad you both are okay.

Man alive!  I'm so glad that you were both restrained so that it potentially minimized the injuries you COULD have received.  As plenty here will attest, pain from an accident like that comes on days later and can last for eons, so DO be sure to get a thorough check.  Some insurance policies will require you see a doctor w/in 24 hours of the accident, so good that you're going tomorrow.  Glad your dad was nearby to collect and comfort you both.

(((Hugs))) & gentle scritches for Tootsie.

    • Gold Top Dog

Wow.  Glad you and Tootsie are all right.  Really - unless some is on the phone or texting, how hard can it be to see a stop sign coming up in front of you?

Just imagining what you went thru makes me wince. I've been rear ended on the freeway and since I was at the front of the 7 car chain, neither I nor my car was hurt much but it still scared me so badly that I could hardly pull to the side of the road. (((HUGS))) for both you and Tootsie.

Making a note to myself to remind DH about using the restraint when he takes Sassy with him. We have one but he doesn't always use it.

I'm so happy you're both OK. But, please, do get checked out ASAP. I was in a car accident last year, and I thought I was OK after....I was so sore the day after and I had a massive bruise on my arm (that kept getting darker for days after the accident)- and I didn't even think I hit my arm on anything!!

Oh my god that's so horrible! I really need to put Simba in his seatbelt. :-s I'm glad you guys are relatively okay. I probably would've had the same reaction at that point, saying that if my dog had been killed I would've killed them. *Hugs for both you and Tootsie*
