in my life! Someone ran their stop sign to day and decimated my passenger side. The person hit me so hard that my sunglasses flew off and my ribcage felt like it turned. Tootsie was strapped in on the drivers side, thank dog. So I put the car in park , turned it off and immediately turned around to look at Tootsie. There she is panting and trying to get to me. So I reached back, unhooked her and she made her way to my lap and thats when the tears started. The other driver came up and asked if I was okay, big mistake! Mama bear, was on the loose. I shouted through my tears that if she would have killed Tootsie, I would have killed her. Extreme, yes. I did apologize, but I can't even begin to think about Toots being almost killed without crying. I also carry a spare leash and collar in the car, which came in handy.
So this happens on N. 46th and Vassault and my parents live on N. 51st and Vassault. So my dad came right away and just seeing his car brought on the water works. Needless to say, I'm emotionally spent. Oh, 20 years ago the same thing happened to my mom in the same intersection.
So ladies and gents, this is the reason to always buckle your dog up.
