Dog on the run *Home*

oh my gosh I hope it's her. Can you contact the police to help you ID the number? Also, ask the Humane Society for advice?

    • Gold Top Dog

Yes I'm going to call them, or someone....dang I just hoped for once the reverse lookup would work!  I'd be on my way already.

    • Gold Top Dog

unfortunately if it's a cell number it won't work as well. Or if it's not listed for some reason.

Now sending vibes to whoever those people are to call you again!!!!

Thinking about you guys... hoping for a quick return for Kenya. Tell them that she has some expensive disease (cancer/receiving chemo?) that would discourage them I'd think.

Hoping this lead is the one and the people cooperate.

I agree, lie like a rug!  Did you try white pages for the reverse look up?  They will sometimes tell you the carrier if its a cell number and then call them and ask them the address...or have the cops do it.

    Praying this is her!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh my!  I hope so much that it is her!!  And I agree, lie lie lie if they won't give her up!  I, too, would phone the police about it, just to let them be aware that they may have your dog and you are going to attend at their residence (when you find it) to ID her.

I have everything crossed over here for you!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Fingers crossed that this is her, & that these people cooperate with her return.

I called the ACO and they told me NOT to call the cops b/c the cops around here hear it's a lost/stolen animal and stop listening.  I left another message saying the dog has medical conditions and will be requiring vet care soon because she has been 2+ days without medicine (lies).  The ACO told me to bring someone along so I may call the guy that had her when she ran away, he's a cop.  I asked about the law and how it works if they are reluctant to give her up.  She said possession is 9/10ths of the law, but that won't stop me from taking my dog.  She said I could sue them, but the way I see it, they can try to sue me.  I know I'm jumping to conclusions that the person is hostile but you can never be too prepared.  I said in my message when they see how the dog reacts to me they will understand it is my dog, but I will bring along the paperwork to back it up.

The thought of my dog lost had me worried sick but the thought of someone else having my dog has me in tears... poor Kenya, she's better off out on her own waiting for me to find her than stuck with some stranger...

It's going to be ok and you're going to get her back. They wouldn't have sent you that picture if they were intending to keep her, they'd have kept their mouth shut and hid her. We're all thinking about you. If you don't hear back soon and can't get anyone to id that phone number, I'd start plastering posters everywhere in that area to make them uncomfortable. Have you tried multiple online sites to id the number? I've called the phone companies and 411 before to ID numbers and it has helped.

Oh Lies, my heart is in my throat right now. I hope hope hope its her and picking her up goes smoothly and that the new people really are nice and cooperative. These people emailed you? Is that correct? Perhaps she has just proved too much for them and they'll gladly give her back. *fingers Crossed*

Alright I have a cop and someone who works for Sprint working on a name/address...

ETA:  It looks like the number may be located a little over an hour away, but I know another cop in the area who's a dog person to say the least so I may see if she can go over an ID the dog.  She knows my dog.

I hope this is Kenya.  The fact that they contacted you should indicate that they will return her to you. If they were going to keep her, why contact you?  I would offer a reward for her return.  Fingers crossed that you hear from them soon or are able to track them down.

Wonderful... everything is crossed for you. (including toes) I'm at the edge of my seat here.

ETA - An HOUR away? Someone transported your dog an hour away, with tags? I am livid for you.
