I've been practicing it a bit, but I'm still really afraid I'm going to totally "cook" it up when it actually comes time to give the speech.

A couple shots of Vodka right before the speech will help you relax.

Tina - call the cops or at least report it to them.  Did you keep a copy of the letter you sent him to prove you told him to leave you alone?  If not, could you recreate it?

Yes, I made a copy of it.  I also have the note he sent me last week and the day and time that he called me earlier in August.  I have the date I disconnected my home phone w/the final bill as proof.  I really only wish I'd looked at their car and written down the plate #.

Hope all you Texans dry out!

I'm finally not feeling horrible today, and didn't come home and go back to sleep. Claritin seems to be helping a bit. So glad I get to sleep in tomorrow morning... 7:30!

Thanks everyone. Leslie, we should hang out and commiserate!! Stick out tongue

Liesje, I must have missed it - why is Nikon getting an X-ray? Regardless, I hope it goes well!

Heather, I'm sure you'll do wonderfully. I was MOH for BF's sister, and I was super super super nervous, but everyone ended up loving it! Just relax- nobody expects you to be perfect!

Feel better, Bevo. Take it easy, mmmkay?

Tina, do you have pepper spray? Just a thought I had...

Deb, as always, you give the best advice. Big Smile  I think I will have to do that, and I'm not really into shots...but I think in this case I'll need them!!

*stares at her nice blue sky* I don't envy the guys with the rain. I know in one month's time, I'll have wicked wind storms to deal with.

So I downloaded Chrome since firefox decided to be an ass and stop working for me. Apparently they were having updates so I might try them again. But I dunno.. I'm kinda liking Chrome. It's sooo shiny. Lol

I didn't blow up my computer! I was having trouble for a while and had to reinstall Windows XP. Alex and Lacey were there to make sure I didn't "cook" anything up.

My head feels ten times better today. Yesterday I woke up with a raging migraine that stuck around all day. Not fun!!

Wishes and vibes to all who need them! Oh and Tina, if want to borrow Maze, just say the word. She makes a great determent! Even thou she's a suck who loves to cuddle. Lol

Well, just heard back from the Doc.  My gallbladder is moving out!  Whoo Hoo, don't let the door hit you in the behind.

The scan they did last week showed that it's only functioning at 7% - supposed to be 35% - so it's coming out.  I already set up an appt. to meet the surgeon tomorrow at 1:30 so hopefully this will all be over in a couple of weeks (here's to hoping they can get the surgery scheduled that fast).  I am so relieved that it's my gallbladder and it is a very easy procedure!

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Leisje - hope everything is OK with Nikon!

Quite true.  I could say to some beastly co-worker "Cook off."  Or I could say "Hey, I'm having a cook off, come on over."  Or I could say "DH and I are planning a cook off, and we must be creative and quiet."  Big Smile

OH MAN!!  Good vibes for Gina!!!!

Thanks. I only cried once today...given all that's occured. That ws when the playroom which...an hour before, was dry...had an inch of standing water in it. I did cry...but not long. It is tiled...I got the shop vac out and started working. They are showing some truly horrific pictures from Arlington (my town) about 10 minutes from here...water over the rooftops of cars and up to the 2nd stories of apt complexes. We can deal...it's better than those poor people who will probably come home to nothing but water.

Sending you good vibes for your house and your sanity as you get things cleaned up.  I do agree that it could have been much worse and is for many.  We didn't have much serious flooding around here and most damage is wind related.  Not that it's better to have your roof blown off than floated away but still we were pretty lucky in this area.

Lisa, yay for the gall bladder removal.  You'll probably have lost some weight from your enforced diet before it's all overand you can call it the gall bladder diet and sell a ton of books.  If only, right? lol

Gina, glad you aren't too bad off water-damage wise.  Still sucks, though.

Lisa, hooray for gall bladder surgeon appointment!  I hope the surgery can be done soon.

    Where's Glenda today?

    • Gold Top Dog

Gina, I'm so sorry that you have to deal with water in the house.  I hope that it's an easy cleanup.  I just saw pics of Arlington on the news, & WOW, it looks really bad.  We have our fingers crossed that the rain subsides soon.
