The new *Design Star* on HGTV started Sunday and I almost missed it

Ack!!! I even said outloud that I needed to record that and then forgot. Maybe I can find a rerun but I'll definitely have to remember to set the DVR for it. There's not much on now that it's summer.  Drop Dead Diva is back on and I like it okay, but it's not gripping like Criminal Minds or Greys Anatomy :(

I'm glad she got her stitches out and is doing well.   Usually vet's have a flat fee for surgery and the fee includes the removal of the stitches.  You did pay for it, up front. lol   But it is nice to go in and not have to fork over more money.

I've been trying to work but I can't concentrate too well today.  Cathy, I didn't sleep well either, last night.  I do love my sleep and I'm a grouchy bear when I get shortchanged.

Sorry guys....been very busy here, took me a while to catch up with everyone.  Had to go back to yesterdayWink

Jackie I hate that you are not feeling well, but very happy about the good Dr visit.  Tell Charles to behave himself, hernia's are no picnic...Ron has had 3 hernia surgeries since his stomach oper in 1989.

Amanda, {{{hugs}}} I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma, even more sorry that your visit was met with so much drama.  Prayers for you and your Grandma.

Paige and Glenda still sending positive job vibes your way!

Ms Deb....have you picked up Beagle girl Katie yet??? She is adorable!

Tina I am so excited for you!!  Dont get too anxious just relax and enjoy the adventure!

Solar lights question, I have found that if you place them too close to each other or any other outdoor lighting they think it's too light to come on.  Dont know if that would be an issue in your case.

Hot Shot is really blowing his coat and my vacumm decided to break, ugh!  I could brush him for hours and as soon as he walks in the house he drops a pound of furr!

Cant remember anything else...sorry if I missed someone!

    {{hugs}} to all!

I read something the other day about when you wake up and you've been dreaming, try to go back in to that dream and you'll fall asleep faster. I remember waking up and liking the dream but by the time I went to the bathroom and got back in bed, I couldn't remember a thing about it.  :(

I went to Ross at lunch and found 2 really cute tops and a blanket for my bed - yay!!

ETA - someone gave us a couple of solar lights as a gift and not only was the light way too dim to be attractive, they were dead by the end of summer. I'd love them if they worked well but won't try them again for awhile.

I read through everyone's posts. Seems like there's a lot of things going on for some, good thoughts to all who need them and job vibes to Paige and Glenda still!

Just putzing around again today. I should go get groceries. Probably wait till after the lunch hour so the commissary isn't so busy.

Echo has just fit right in here so well.  We're currently all smashed onto the loveseat as I type. E is leaning on Lexi and Darby is above my head.   Just working on puppy-crate-tantrums at the moment.  Which is why I hesitate to go shopping, she is going to wail and cry probably the entire time we're gone.   But she's gotta learn to be quiet in a crate, pretty important with all th etravelling and moving we do.   She has really brightened my days!

It looks like the sun might come out.  It's been cloudy the last couple days. Makes my brain foggy too.

More good positive thougths to everyone!

The swap cometh!!  Thank you lmichelle for giving me that last needed rating so I can host it!  Even though Swapbot said on Facebook they'd be unlocking it for me, they hadn't yet, but thanks to you I'm finally "worthy" of setting it up, lol.

Of course, I have all the info on my laptop at home, so as soon as I get home, I will email it all to Karen so she can start us a sticky thread for it.

    Whew, finally!!!

Hi Gin!  I was wondering where you've been and was kind of worried with all that flooding in AK.  Glad you could surface for a minute and check in.  I'll be sure and tell Charles about Ron's hernias.  Sad  That will help convince him he needs to follow orders. lol  Sorry your vac died.  That would be a tragedy worthy of song around our house. lol

I'd forgotten but my dad developed a hernia after his bowel surgery too. Dr. wanted to do surgery to repair it but my dad said "no thanks" and never had any problems. It's a good reminder though of why you're supposed to rest until you're completely healed.

Sassy is shedding like crazy too. It's depressing to vacuum or wash something and see it covered in black hair within a few hours. Buffy usually starts shedding when Sassy stops, so our fun continues for a long time :(

Check the on-screen guide.  It should repeat at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon if not before. They've got a cute group this year.

ETA - Solar lights all have batteries somewhere, but  some don't make it easy to find them or change them.  Most of them just take one AA each.

Ok, kids, the swap is all set.  Karen, I emailed you (not PMed...there is a Word doc I needed to attach).  Thanks so much for setting up the sticky!

Yep, I found them, and replaced them in the non-working ones (NiCd solar rechargables), but it didn't help.  It did help in one, for one night, then that one went kaput again.  I'm going to have BF take a look and see if he can see any loose wiring or anything easy like that.

ETA - Cathy, everything I've seen, the solar rechargable batteries usually only last about a year.  So replacing them usually does help.  Except in my case, of course.  Story of my life, lol.

Apparently, I am not entitled to a day off. And it is everyone elses job to call me while I'm OFF - to demand I do things. Uh, try - NO. All phone calls will be returned at the start of my next business day, thank you and goodbye.

Why do people think this is acceptable?! and WHY do they think it is their job to tell me how to do mine?! UGH.
