MC, Finally FRIDAY!

Ginger - I'll be thinking good thooughts for your SD's surgery on Monday. Let us know how she's doing when you can.

Tina - I'm so happy that Otis is doing well. Yay!!

I went to the gym and was sitting at a light by a corner gas station when I hear screeching tires and 2 cars rush into the gas station and start yelling at each other. One driver jumped out of the car and ran to the trunk of his car. I was just sure it was going to be a gun or tire wrench but it was 2 huge bags of empty cans. He took them and threw them at the guys car and cans went flying everywhere. It's kind of comical now but that guy was big and enraged. The light turned green, so I didn't see if it escalated further but I'm betting the cops had been called.

Is this bedding set boring? I'm still on a hunt for something but generally don't like pastel colors but thought it might be nice for spring/summer. Thoughts?

Cathy, I think that's very pretty!

I still have a bedding set I got for Christmas sitting in the bag.  I don't want to put it on the bed until we get our grass growing, to avoid muddy pawprints on my pretty new bedding (*cough* Harry! *cough*)

Ewww...someone at work must have put a mug of coffee in the microwave to heat it up....quite some time ago....and forgot about it.  Opened the microwave today and there it was...sludgy and moldy. Ick!

Cathy, on a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give it a solid 5.  It's nice, and I love greens, but it's not jumping out at me.

Shari - would pull-ups work?  That way you wouldn't have to worry about her pulling it off.

Still sending good vibes for good tests results for Jameson.

I worked from home today since I had to take Riley in for her follow-up.  I could definitely get used to working from home...sigh

Well, the ortho guy is upping her medication since the swelling still isn't gone and is being stubborn...figures stubborn girl, stubborn momma,  stubborn arthritis.  There was good news, it has not spread to any other joints!!  Plus, it appears to not be getting any worse.  We are seeing a Rhumetologist next month.  She doesn't have RA, but they will be better able to treat it with different medications.  I did a lot of reading on it this past week and with everything I read she is in the very minor category.  As long as it is under control (which it is right now) there isn't much of a conern regarding growth or permanent damage to her knee.  Surgery is not even in the picture so that is a huge weight off my shoulders.

We are going to start swimming at least 4 times a week (we only go twice now) since that really helps and doesn't put pressure on it.  Also, since the dosage is up the way we administer the meds will be in a tablet form which will be much easier for her take (vs. all that liquid and chewables).

The bad news is gymnastics is out for now until the swelling is gone, but we may do ballet instead.  She won't care or even notice for that matter but just the thought that she's has any physical limitations makes me sad.  I am giving her milk thistle for her tummy and rubbing the area everynight with oils so hopefully it will all be over soon.

I am so glad it is Friday!!  I am definitely kicking back with a tall cold one once she hits the sheets.

Yeah, me either. It's kind of one of those things if someone gave it to me, I'd be happy but if I have to pay $200 for it....maybe not so much.

I think the one I have came from overstock.com.  You might look there and see if there's something you like.

I wondered that myself.  Last weekend when I went grocery shopping, I actually did browse the diaper aisle, but I couldn't decide.  The other problem was I forgot to measure Agnes's waist size.  I did today at lunchtime, so will look at stuff tomorrow.

Cathy, I like the colors but they are too pastel.  I have similar colors on my bedding but they are brighter than the one you posted.

Lies, have you changed your bc method or pills lately?  Don't panic, lots of things could cause that pain. If it persists and you get feverish, see a doc.

Lisa, I'm glad Riley is doing better.  It really sucks that she has to go thru this (you and your dh too) but thank goodness it's no worse and confined to one knee.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.   lol  She won't miss gymnastics and I can't wait for pictures in her tutu and ballet shoes. :)

Well, I just about finished what needed finishing.

I found out that Port Aransas is hosting a sand castle competition in April.  I missed out last year and I'm not sure Charles will be up for a crowd scene on the beach.  Parking will be a nightmare but I want to go so bad.  If not this year, next year for sure.  http://www.texassandfest.com/  I think Amanda went last year.  Maybe it was someone else.  I know coworker went and said it was a lot of walking to see them all but well worth it.  He took Ruger, the Weim, and Ru made many new friends. :)  Everyone, including me loves Ruger.

Awwwww Riley -sorry to hear the swelling is not going away. Lisa, IIRC, this is something she will grow out of????  Swimming is great - keep her up with it - my next door neighbor's kid got a full 4 year scholorship to CORNELL University just because of her swimming. So, you never know what good will come out of something!!  Stay positive.

I've checked there a few times. It's hard to find much on there for Calif. King. :(

Lisa - I'm sorry too that Riley is still having some problems but I'm glad that they've got it under control and I'm betting she's going to love ballet as much as gymnastics.

Jackie - that sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. Maybe Charles will continue to surprise you and he'll feel up to going. I'll keep my calendar open just in case though ;)

Poor Agnes, the diapers will stay intact, we used them on MOtza ball one time. but yes make sure you get the right size!! we were using them as a belly band sort of.He's so sausage shaped the bands kept shifting, so we tried diapers.

Annie: I program Universal Remotes as part of my job, they make good products!!

    Lies: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Zoey has been uber cute lately, wanting to sit in my lap & get loved on, usually she's too hyped up to want to do any of that, so I'm soaking it up while I can!! LOL!!

Had success with the crate aggression stuff, also desensitized her to garbage cans rolling - they freaked her out!!

finally beautiful weather again! ahhhh....need to clean the house, and start more seeds in the garden, and train the donkeys & Zoey. Had a great session with the donks the other day. Daisy HATES being groomed - she shows her displeasure by pawing and moving around trying to avoid the brush, but with clicker training she didn't move at all!! the first time in a year that I brushed ALL of her at once!! it was amazing. Made progress with MArtha too.

I want a round pen so bad for the girls, a nice safe training space where I can train & not worry about anything. Thinking about making one with some horseguard fence, it'll roughly be $125 to make it, which is CHEAP, but still expensive for me! argh......

I think its funny that I could clicker train everyday of the week if I wanted too. lol ( i pretty much do with Zoey, but I could rotate in the donks).

I'm with you.  Before I'd pay $200 for one I'd have to really, really love it.  I do love the look of a quilt w/bedskirt, but I can't have one.  With Max hopping up there to nap, I'd be picking the quilt up off the floor 50 times a day.  It took me forever to find just a conventional bedspread that would come down to the floor on a CA king.  It's not my fave by any means (Americana print) but at least it fits and it was only $60 so I guess I can't complain too much ... and  it doesn't show dog hair or muddy paw prints. Smile

Yikes.  Amazon has a lot (you can shop by size).  I know how frustrating it is.  I spent hours trying to find one I liked before I finally settled on one.

Lies, I get that pain every once in a while.  It can be due to an ovary working overtime at a point during your cycle.  If it persists, you should definitely get checked out.  I hope it's nothing serious!

It's been SUCH a long week.  I'm so glad it's Friday.

I accidently stabbed myself in the hand with a screwdriver when I was trying to undo a tight screw yesterday.  Got a inch long gouge/scab in the middle of my palm.  It stings.  :(  I picked up some wine at the grocery tho.  I'm sure that'll make it MUCH better.

    Good thoughts to Riley!!

I spent the afternoon being Mrs. Dad and changed the lawnmore blade for a dethatcher blade and dethatched/bagged the lawn.  I was filthy and dusty up till a little bit and got a shower. love to be nice and clean!

But the lawn is pretty short, all the dead brown stuff is out of it and it's pretty nearly green, uch greener than the neighbor's to the west.  The neighbors to the east start the lawn phenomonom.  It goes Don, Tiffani, Tim to the south. we all mow close to each othe rand like to have our lawns nice.

I do hope th ehouse in Monterey, whichever one we rent, has a nice lawn.
