Wouldn't you think that if you left just one or two things for your boss to sign, that he'd manage to do that? I put it right on his keyboard, so he has to see it but he always just pushes it to the side and ignores it. If he came in every day, it wouldn't matter but since he sometimes doesn't come in but once a week, it's really frustrating.

Tina - I'm so sorry that Agnes problem is getting worse. I can't imagine how crummy that must be for both of you. Is it possible the could put her on something like DES? I had a dog with spay incontinence and she did really well on that.

Unfortunately, it is as I posted.  The compromise to the bone marrow and white cell production is very risky at her age, so I will try it only as a last resort. DES is simply a synthetic form of estrogen.  I had to google it after Jackie mentioned it to me in an email the other day, and I already discussed with the vet.

So we go with plan B and worry about what's next after that.  I never thought I'd be diapering a dog, that's for sure!

Deb, I don't know.  She might not lay on it.  As it is now, I took the bed you gave her for Xmas and wrapped the inner foam with plastic, then put the cover back on.  On top of that, I put a couple of training pads and on top of that, a blanket.  For her other spot, my son's old couch, I put pee pads on the couch, covered it with a plastic mattress liner.  Then I have a couple of Pooch Pads that I bought at dog.com that help absorb urine, and on top of that is her blanket.  She's not totally soaked in urine, but she's still getting it on her fur.

I will have to think on it - please don't be impulsive!

Yeah, no I hear you.  I bought one of these http://www.dog.com/item/pipe-dreams-outdoor-elevated-pet-bed/020801/ for Jamison and he would walk right next to it and sleep in grass instead of on the bed !!

Oh, poor sweet Agnes!!  Tina, I bet Callie has some diaper ideas for you.

    Yep, already have them.

Difficulty, however, since Agnes's whole bladder lets go, not just a drip, is her laying in wet pants because the pad can't hold all the fluid.  The last think she needs is diaper rash.

Get regular human baby diapers. They'll hold  a full pee and it wicks away urine to keep urine scald away.  Just poke a hole for her tail and pull through.

Good thoughts for Agnes and Jamison's test too!

I am glad it's friday because that means I won't have to deal with Noah's school for 2 days but then it means I ahve to deal with 2 kids who don't get along very well and are far too busy for me to keep up with .  How did I wind up with 2 very high energy kids when DH and I are pretty laid back, pokey people??

    It's wicked windy here. Boo.

I think Shammy is right - a baby diaper might work. At least they aren't crazy expensive if it doesn't work out.

I have had a very productive morning - I mopped, vacuumed, washed sheets, and cleaned the upstairs bathroom. I also turned in a giant paper that was due today. I was all done with it, but it needed to be proofread. Hopefully I didn't miss anything. Now I just need to go put the sheets back on the bed, ugh, and fold more laundry, double ugh. At least I can watch last night's Grey's Anatomy while I fold laundry :)

First though, I need some food!

Good thoughts coming for Jamison and Agnes.

Cathy, I hope whatever you have goes away soon.  This weekend is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous ... shame to ruin it with a nasty head cold.

I think I'll sneak off to Home Depot sometime soon.  They're having a sale on solar yard lights (8 pack for $32) and the ones I have now have gotten pretty cruddy looking over the last three years.

Yep, I agree. Not sure if you had any your way but we had some nice size hail yesterday about 6ish. I know most people won't understand what a big deal that is for these parts ;)

Yeah, I wondered if a baby diaper would be cuttable without the material falling apart.

Ginger, I hope all goes well with her surgery.  I'll have you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Tina, Deb isn't impulsive.  If she decides Agnes needs something, you can start watching for the package. lol  That's why we love her so much. :)

    Deb, no news?

Cathy, dang it.  Feel better, so you can enjoy the pretty weather.

ETA that we still have heard nothing from the BIL and his wife.  I guess we just twiddle our thumbs and wonder when or if they will arrive.  I could call one of them but refuse, on principal.  That principal hurts me more than them. lol

Good thoughts for a successful surgery!

I am experiencing underwear difficulties.  I remember why I usually go commando. Huh?

    • Gold Top Dog

Jackie, I know.  And let me tell you we do appreciate it.

Amanda, I'm sorry to hear of your undie troubles.  Yesterday it was me and my bra.  Glad to see someone else gets to share the pain of undergarments.

Just spoke to Otis's new mom.  He's been with her 9 days now, loves her and her husband.  Seems to have forgotten his housetraining, though.  She's going to get a crate.  Other than that, they really are glad they have him.  Me, too.  They call him Otis Red.

I have this weird cramp quite low and far over on my left side.  I mentioned it to a friend and she said, "Not to scare you, but that's the first thing I had when I was pregnant."  OK, I'm not scared I'm TERRIFIED!!!  Indifferent
