MC, Finally FRIDAY!

    MC, Finally FRIDAY!

Not that it makes a heck of a lot of difference since we both work 6 days a week and now I'm doing double duty, but.....

Haven't talked to DH yet this morning, but he felt so positive last night about his Mom and the conversations they'd had with the doc and social worker.  Hoping that continues.

The dogs were so good all night, but now they are ready to go out whether I am or not....LOL!

I, for one, am SO ready for this week to be over.  I feel like I could sleep for 24 hours straight.  I was able to get Jamison out for a very short walk yesterday and he finally ate something so that's a good sign.  Waiting to hear from the Vet about the lab results be feel much more upbeat than a few days ago.

Here's more good thoughts for getting an A on your test, Jamison!

I have another call in to the vet about Agnes.  She is not just leaking, she's losing the entire contents of her bladder about every 2 hours.  And because she is drinking so much, that's a lot of pee.  I can see she is a bit confused and depressed.  She even stays laying in the pee, even though she has options to move away from it.

Now, of my inanimate object problems recently (furnace, sewer), my anti-lock brakes are #3.  ABS light came on last Saturday when I was parking at Target.  Light went back out.  Yesterday, twice, the ABS kicked in on dry pavement.  This morning, the idiot light is on and stayed that way.  I still have regular brakes, but the ABS has something funky going on.

Good thing my tax refund was deposited yesterday - but I can see right now that I won't be using it to pay down my Visa as I'd hoped. Sad

Please think good thoughts for Agnes, amongst all the others who need them.

Brrrrr!  It's 19 degrees here.  I think it got colder since 7pm b/c I walked into work with wet hair and it didn't freeze.

I am very proud of myself.  Yesterday, I took apart my van's dash and installed and aftermarket hack behind the stereo.  Then I took apart my Bissell deep cleaner and my SpotBot and fixed my deep cleaner (needed to see how the part worked on the SpotBot).  Then DH's mp3 player was frozen so I fixed that too.  Now if only I could fix being broke, money-wise....

Oh gracious.  Good vibes for Jamison and Agnes both.

Jamison and Agnes, Ari and I are sending some loving your way. Ari sends a lot of flat coat kisses (anytime we bring her to play group, she just goes around making out with the other dogs, seriously. Particularly this one yellow lab who is her make out buddy if he's there. There were would be an apt name for her, if she were human Stick out tongue).

To sum up how my week/day has been going, there's a big bottle of Barefoot Pinot Grigio wine chilling in my refrigerator at home. We'll be getting together after I get home and after Ari's walk tonight. There's also makings for nachos at home...and some chick flicks I can watch since the SO is away for the weekend.

Glenda, I'm so glad that DH & DS got to see MIL. Now to get you & DH settled in a job that will last.

ALL my good vibes for Agnes & Jamison.

Nothing to report here except that I appear to be taken over by a mass of remote controlls.  Does anyone have suggestions on universal remotes?

Just spoke at length to the vet.  He thinks Agnes's leaking is due to age-related incontinence because it only happens when she is laying down asleep.  Soooo....I am going to try putting her on a water schedule and make her some diapers.  The option to put her on incontinence meds won't work - they'll raise her blood pressure.  The other choice would be to add estrogen, but because of her age, it's pretty risky to do it because it will affect her bone marrow and reduce white cell output, opening her up to reduced immunity issues.

So I guess I'm going to have to get creative, no small task for my linear mind.  Confused

Deb - I sure hope you hear something today regarding Jamison and I hope it's good news.

Tina - I'm so sorry that Agnes problem is getting worse. I can't imagine how crummy that must be for both of you. Is it possible the could put her on something like DES? I had a dog with spay incontinence and she did really well on that.

Dr's appt was uneventful and other than agreeing that I have a nasty cold, there wasn't much news. Thyroid levels were fine and he wants me to come back for my annual physical next month. Yeah....maybe.

I too could use about 24 hours of sleep but even if I had the opportunity, my current insomnia wouldn't allow me to enjoy it. I haven't slept thru the night once this week. My cold feels exactly the same way it did from day 1, so I'm wondering when it's going to go away. I'm swamped at work and my brain isn't working well, so everything seems to take longer. Wahhhh...poor me but TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, poor sweet Agnes!!  Tina, I bet Callie has some diaper ideas for you.

Deb, I have all fingers & toes crossed that Jamison's test results come back with good news!

Good thoughts for Jamison & Agnes.

Annie, we have this remote.  I LOVE it!

Brutus & I had a head to chin collision this morning.  I saw stars afterwards.  I still feel a little fuzzy, & my lower jaw is killing me.

Cathy, I hope that you're feeling better today.

    Yep, already have them.

Difficulty, however, since Agnes's whole bladder lets go, not just a drip, is her laying in wet pants because the pad can't hold all the fluid.  The last think she needs is diaper rash.

Tina, I'm so sorry to hear that Agnes is getting worse on the bladder problem instead of better.

Deb, I hope you hear soon.  I am so impatient when it comes to waiting for test results and usually start calling them.  I hate it when you call and someone says "oh, didn't they call you?"

I've been busy working and I really can't wait till the end of this day and this week.  I made French toast for breakfast.  yummy  Better get back to work.

ETA, Tina do you keep Agnes in an x pen or confined to a room when you are gone?

Oh, I've had a few head/chin collisions with Grady.  Man they have hard heads. Thanks for the remote idea!
