MC, Finally FRIDAY!

Our bermuda in the front yard is just starting to turn green.  Yay!  Our neighbor on one side has a nice front lawn like we do, because we both use the same lawn service.  The neighbors to the other side don't, so theirs is mostly weeds.  It's funny, because there's a clear delineation where our lawns meet, lol.

I updated my other thread, but the news needs to be shared.

Holy Hannah!  They have approved her to move from hospice to skilled nursing until she is ready for assisted living.  WTH????  She has made a massive improvement since the guys arrived and she's determined now to do what it takes to get healthy.  Wow.  Just wow.

Tonight, I'm drinking that glass of wine that I keep falling asleep before I can pour it!

Glenda, WOW!!!  That is amazing!  Such fantastic news.  First Mr. Jackie's remarkable recovery and now your MIL.  Someone's looking over i-dog families for sure!

I am home alone....again.  This seems to be a growing trend.

DH & the kids are in Houston for the Duke/Purdue game.  DH was offered 3 tickets this morning, & he jumped on them.  The kids were supposed to be spending the weekend with their grandmother, but I cancelled on her so that they could go to the game instead.  Grandma wasn't thrilled, but that's life.

Lies, have you changed your bc method or pills lately?  Don't panic, lots of things could cause that pain. If it persists and you get feverish, see a doc.

Nope, no changes.  I think I'm panicking because my SIL is pregnant, but her DH lost his job and now they are losing their house....I want kids but NOT NOW!!!!  The cramp is still there, in fact has gotten stronger throughout the day.  It started as annoying and now is relatively uncomfortable, wouldn't say painful yet since it's not inhibiting me from doing anything normal.  When I sit it feels like it's in the front, when I stand it feels like it's in the back.  I'm hoping it's cycle related or maybe some benign ovarian cyst or something.  I take BC so that I only have a period when I want to have one (usually every 3-4 months), so honestly I have no idea where I am in my cycle.  Sometimes I do get regular menstrual cramps around the time I would be due for aunt Flo if I went off the pill, never had this cramp before but it could be that time.

You're amazing. I hope you can enjoy the evening alone. Sounds like DH and the boys are going to have a very good night and I'm sure they appreciate you. Pamper yourself with a nice bubble bath. :)

I understand that feeling.  I hope the pain gets no worse and starts to get better. Sending you good vibes.

Was browsing collars for the little poodle and I think the smallest tiny dog collar will work. I'll have to take her in to pick one out when we take her home next week. Darned tiny thing. She'll be walked on a harness, but I like a collar for tags.  Even the cat collars run a bit large.  Still no name picked yet, so we're still calling her the pillbug.  She has clear poos and should have received her second worming today.

Grimm got vaccines and I competely forgot to have a heartworm test done for send out. (it's $4 if we send it out...so we just do that). Gah.

Have to straighten up the house tonight so that my coworker who is letting Jules and Ginger out tomorrow evening doesn't think we live in a furball

Also picked up two extra rolls of sod, so that Hester will have a nice patch of grazing grass when she comes out of hibernation....which should be soon

Who/what is Hester?  I haven't heard that name before.  And, when do we get pics of poodle girl?  I love poodles.

Ok, I don't think I will be able to remember everyone I wanted to send good wishes to, but.... here's my start:

Tina, re: Agnes - I don't know the meds she's on, or how it would interract with any additional stuff, but I've heard of people using Proin instead of DES or PPA.  I don't know enough about it and will likely need to do some research of my own, because Gracie will likely develop spay incontinence as she ages.  I don't know that you want to add more meds, but... shoot, just like you, we wish we had some answers to help Agnes.

Cathy, I hate it that you're sick still AND have insomnia.  Sucky!  Hope you get at least 12 hours of sleep this weekend.

Riley has a good mum!  I'm glad to hear that it's not in any other joints and hasn't gotten any worse.

Glenda, that's just astounding about your MIL!  (and I didn't get to comment on it yesterday, but so good for her to have acknowledged how she treated you could have been better.  That probably was a shock to hear, but good to know she wanted to resolve that.)  HUGS, Glenda.  I know this has been one tough thing after another for you.

Liesje, as Heather mentioned, you can get that cramping pinching pain especially during the middle of your cycle.  Hope it turns out to be ok.

Ginger, continued good thoughts for your SD and DH.  ***good vibes****good health***

Add me to the list of people who could use 24 hrs of sleep.  Finals and such this week had my sleep patterns off (staying up well past midnight to work on papers and exams)  However, I'm super happy I just found out my grade in the toughest class... got an A. WOOO HOOO!!  I am maintaining my 4.0 GPA!  yay!!

Hester is my tortoise. :)  I've had her for two years. She was hit by a car and brought to my workplace. Her shell was repaired, but once in captivity (even for treatment) they cannot be released. So, she's a "foster" tort, as they call it according to game and fish, but she lives here permanently. (as long as we're in the state) She's a good tortoise :) They hibernate all winter, though, so she should be up permanently soon. Right now she's just shifting a bit.

I hae a really bad pic of poodle girl on my phone, but not sure if I can get it off of there (this compuer hates my phone) Otherwise there will be pics in abundance when she comes home :) she is a little haggard and semi hairless (tail butt and ears, but very cute.  :)

My keyboard died today so i have to use the stiff roll up one, so if i have typos, forgive me. It pains me to have typos :P

Oh we need pics of Hester too!  I love tortises & turtles.

Paige, congrats on the 4.0.  That's an awesome accomplishment.

My 10 year old just sent me a pic of one of the Purdue cheerleader's butts.  Not impressed... Hmm

Have I mentioned that as of today, I have quit drinking?

Thanks Amanda - we'll see if I can mantain it for the entire degree, but I'll hold onto it for all the hours I have in so far. Cool

Must be something about March.  My bio father just celebrated 25 years of sobriety, and a friend just admitted he had a problem and went through detox last week.  (Ironicaly, they will share the same sobriety date if my friend sticks with it.)  In your case, would this non-drinking be in effect for longer than 9 months?? (ahem, *cough!babycough!*)

Um, anyone else follow NBA?  I think Carmello Anthony may be my new fav player.  Lucky me, he plays here in Denver!  Unlucky me, my sister doesn't like NBA, so I have to go on my own.  Lucky me, I needed a date idea, so I think basketball may be it!

Not so patiently waiting for Amanda to answer the question....
