Mindless Thursday!

I feel generally *pfft* today.  I feel like I'm suspended in a sad jello salad - which is what "feeling fat" feels like.  My coworker just looked at me and said, "You look sad, what's wrong?"  I shook my head to say nothing and then tears came out.  I am clearly hormonal and/or overtired.  Ptuey!  I wish I could view videos here, I'd go watch puppies or something.

Ahhh...here's a (((HUG))). Not as good as the real thing but it will have to do. I hope your mood lifts and you feel less pfft :)

Jackie - I'd be nervous too but I'm sure the dr's wouldn't have released him to go home if there was any serious danger of something happening to him. I'm betting he's enjoying just being at home so much though and I know you must be thrilled too. I was in the hospital just a few days when I had my surgery but I almost cried tears of joy when I was able to climb into my own bed.

I know there's a lot going on with folks but I've just been so slammed that I haven't had time to catch up. I have to get Board materials mailed out today and then I'm taking tomorrow off. Hopefully I can make it thru the day without pulling out the 2x4.

Amanda - regarding the puppy fever, I do love puppies but doubt I'd ever have another one unless it was a foster situation. Still, there's no better cheerful distraction than watching puppies playing.

Hormones suck, I'm guessing.  I got close to launching into bitch mode after someone tried to argue with me about his own behavior in my office, so, I'm pretty sure it's hormones.  Or the weather.  Whatever.  Thx, though.

Mmmmm, nothing beats chilled Kahlua poured over vanilla ice cream.

My secretary felt sorry for me, so I'm having tuna rolls, & sake.  Nothing like having the "hair of the dog."

    someone pass me s.o.m.e.t.h.i.n.g.

I went home at lunch, house felt colder than normal, checked t-stat and forgot I turned it down yesterday when I opened windows.  Easy enough - turn it up and nothing.  Great.  I think it might be the flame sensor, maybe the ignitor.  Too bad I know all the parts, but could never change them on my own.  So much for the extra money I had - now the furnace guy is going to get it. Sad

*passes Tina chicken soup and gatorade* Sorry, that's all I've got today.

I talked to BF at lunchtime and he said I sounded near death. He is bringing home 'Where the Wild Things Are' on DVD so being sick has it's perks.

Tina - I don't have anything yummy to pass you but I'm hoping if you have to pay a furnace guy to fix your furnance, that he's hot looking ;)

Someone left some mixed nuts concoction on the counter here, so I decided to give them a try. Holy cow, I think it might've been a cruel prank cause they set my mouth on fire. I seriously love hot food but these were over the top hot. I guess that'll teach me about eating stuff that isn't mine. Ick!

Paige, thanks for those good vibes from CO and all the others too, of course!   He doesn't want me hovering too much and I understand that but it's hard not to and it's just who I am. lol  I've called him so many times, he just picks up and says "I'm fine".  I wanted to go home at lunch but he insisted I not do that since I made his lunch this morning.  I do need to back off and let him manage. He's weak but not to the point of dizziness or needing help to get up and down, etc.  He said the dogs are keeping him company.

I did find a rehab place that I am thrilled with so far.  I have to say that Aetna has been super and the nurse case manager assigned to his claim is really going above and beyond to help us.  I've had my share of horrible experiences with insurance companies so I'm still leery in general but I have nothing but compliments so far with Aetna.

Paige, I don't have PMS anymore but I have done the same as you lately.  Cry at the slightest thing and the next moment ready to deck someone.  I hope you feel better soon.  Sending you some good vibes back and giving you a big virtual hug.

Sorry for all of you allergy/sinus sufferers.  I know how miserable that can be.  Claritin helps me sometimes and other times, nothing seems to help.

I missed a lot of stuff going on here.  Courtney, did your Grandmother die?  I know she was very sick and you said she didn't have long.  I'm so sorry if that's what is being referred to here.  If she's still hanging on, I hope that didn't sound offensive.

Deb, I have owned dogs my whole life and I still sometimes jump the gun when it comes to their health.  Your'e a good dog mama. :)

Tina, Otis got adopted?   Give Agnes a kiss for being patient with the little weiner dogs.  Good vibes for her.

I was in sinus hell last week, though I'm feeling it behind my right eye today. We went to the dog park, which was nice because the small dog side was empty except for us (and the golden puppy who came in for a few minutes). I would have taken them over to the big dog side, but there was a doberman in there with a prong on. The lady who brought the golden over to play for a few minutes said that guy comes in there somewhat often with dobermans on prongs. This one kept getting into scuffles with other ones. Not really bad, and maybe he didn't start it, but he was the only one who got into it more than once with and multiple dogs.

I need to get my paperwork in so I can get paid and have some more money. I'm owed a lot, but I forget to turn in my paperwork and get paid late.

Well, that was the most expensive 20 minutes I've had in a while.  $70 for the service call, $140 for the ignition control.  And he was a nice looking man, but not in the hot category.  He knows one of the owners of the business I work for, been friends for years, but that didn't help me. LOL

Thanks for all the virtual treats...they helped, without the calories.

Jackie, yes, Otis was adopted yesterday by an awesome lady.  Check your home email.  Wink

    Now I'm not only broke, I'm weiner-less.

Tina, I don't know about your town, but here there are specific streets & street corners that you can hang out on to make money, & get weiner.  It's probably dirty, disease ridden weiner, but it is weiner. Stick out tongue
