So DH is where I was earlier in the week, Bugsy is flat today and I am struggling to shake the blues.Wish I knew what we were dealing with, clearly I am hoping for clean margins but the not knowing and 'waiting' for the call is killing me!

I know what you're going through; you probably remember last November when our vet thought the spots on the x-rays of Jessie's lungs may be tumors. I wish I could give you a big hug. You'll know soon; hang in there.

Ditto what Janice says.  You'll know soon.  I also know the anticipation is excruciating.  Like was said before....He is so full of life.  How could he be sick.  Continued healing vibes to the beast and peace to you and your DH.

How are the staple areas looking today?

it is quite raised from top to bottom, but not discolored or hot. I'll be calling the vet yet again in the morning as it sure doesn't look right to me and he certainly had nothing like it after the knee surgery.

thank you again ladies for the support and a place to let my thoughts & feelings flow. I know many of you have been through similar and know hoe difficult it is

If he overdid it a bit, it could be a simple building of fluid (seroma) under the incision. My vet advised alternating warm and cold packs for about 10 minutes each a couple of times a day. The raised area went down after a couple of applications of the alternate warmth/cold.

Let us know what the vet says.

took the bull by the horns and called the vet - still at the lab won't know until Wednesday

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh Karen, still thinking of you guys.  Fingers and paws crossed for good news and calm Bugsy vibes still coming!  (((hugs)))

You were right and very brave to call to see if the results had come in but what you want is the most accurate answer you can get because so much depends on it. The lab is doing all they can to give back the most precise analysis they can from the material they received. If it means a bit more time, an extra pair of eyes,a consult with a colleague at the lab or at another lab, I think it is worth the wait even if  the wait is extremely hard.

Holding all of you in my heart.

ha ha ha ha My boy is weird which we all knew

it was chronic fibrosing inflammation that created a pseudo tumor

vet said it was extremely weird but great news

    understatement of the century

    thank you all sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!

now I guess I'll have to work on getting the incision healed!
