This isn't theory or "perfect controlled world". Plenty of people on this forum have dealt with their DA dogs this way (desensitization). I have dealt with my dogs reactivity this way. The author of Scaredy Dog dealt with her extremely DA dog this way. My own "real life" dog behaviorist has dealt with DA dogs this way.

And that's great! What part of that is it you don't get??? What I'm saying is, Doesn't work for all dogs or in all situations. Is that at all clear???

Does the business you own/work for have  website?  Would you provide a link?

Bahahahaha BAHAHAHA You should really try paying closer attention, I'm not rehashing that again. So I'll make it short and sweet for the last time. #1. I'm not here to promote my business. #2. This is the open interenet (if you haven't noticed) and  I can do without all the nuts. For example someone threatening my life because of my work with pit bulls. No thanks.

And if you don't like that, which I'm sure you don't. My guess is, I'm just as sure that you and *some* others will jump all over that now. Just don't be shocked or let it get to you that I care as much about what you think of that as I do what's thought of my spelling. [;)]

Once again you're wrong!!  A degree does not give you a title of behaviorist.  You may achieve a degree in some behavioral science but that doesn't give you the label behaviorist.

Oh gee, I'm sorry I was wrong. [;)]  Perhaps *you* can point out just how someone according to *you* gets the title "Behaviorist".

     Once again, I delete.

Why I allow myself to get caught up with redbrick is beyond me.

For example someone threatening my life because of my work with pit bulls. No thanks.

I have never heard of anyone, including Cesar Millian himself and he is nationally reconized have such exposure to viscous aggressive dogs that his whole life is surrounded with them.[X(]

Why anyone on this forum, including myself bothers with this nonsense you procreate is beyond me.

Just like our dogs, if we ignore the behavior will cease and go away……….

No, that's not what you were saying. What you said, quite literally, is
    [blockquote]

Perhaps in a perfct controlled world you can say that, but this is the real world, and people are going to run into other dogs, and they need *real life solutions* not what someone *thinks* they can do in a perfect setting.

Which leads me to believe that you've never tried desensitizing a dog using distance, since you don't seem to think it works in the "real world". I'm just letting you know that it does work. And I would hate for lurkers or other dog owners to read your post and think that desensitization doesn't work except in some "perfect controlled world". [/blockquote]

I'm sorry, was the question to difficult or did you just not have a answer. BTW the questions only get harder.

For example someone threatening my life because of my work with pit bulls. No thanks.

What??  You are on another planet Mister.  Did you ever hear of anyone who has such an abundance of viscous aggressive dogs that his whole life is surrounded with them?

Are you? I'm stating something that actually happened. aggression is what i specialize in, why wouldn't I be around them more than the average person (like you)  or trainer?  If you can't grasp that, well then.

Why anyone on this forum, including myself bothers with this guy is beyond me.  Just like our dogs, if we ignore the behavior will cease and go away……….

LOL Yeah, ingoring, that's how we fix a problem. Bahahahaha

I love how you ignore your own rude behavior. Only I won't ignore it, nor will I go away. I will address it. TsssT. Bahahahaha

Oh and sinse I'm sitting in the office all day sick I noticed the same thing i noticed on my day off. *Your* here a lot. Interesting.

You're right. I need to keep reminding myself....

I did answer your question way before it was asked and I am not going to again, like you would say.  Why don#%92t you prove your point with some facts since we have NEVER seen a fact come off your key board?  The only “fact” is quoting Cesar did or didn#%92t do something.   Oh yeah,  ..  of course you specialize in aggressive dogs, that#%92s why you know so much and share such good information.

If only you had a side Awsomedog.  It's Cesars way or nothing for you.     Do you have your own opinions?  There has to be at least one thing Cesar does you don't agree with.

Yep and if like Scout, you actually paid attention, you would have read where I've already stated that. Now what planet is it your on? LOL

How's that ignoring me working out for you? You did state that did you not. at least show you have *some* self controll. Or you and others can keep doing your best to attack me and then whine and whine about my reply. Must not be mirror one in your house.

When I was having aggression issues with my dog a woman who also owned a Greater Swiss and read my post for advice on the forum PM#%92d me and asked if she could call me and tell me what her solution was because she knew it was controversial.

She called me and perceeded to tell me about his trainer she hired who dominated her dog and cured him.  During our conversation she was telling me how the trainer tackled her dog to the floor, and held his hand up against his neck to keep him pinned until his tongue turned blue!  He told her and her husband that they must keep him pinned until his tongue turned blue before they released him.  There were many other dominate things she told me I could do to my dog, like..  if he jumped on me to great me to kick him square in the chest and not to worry if he falls to the ground out of breathe.

Are you in Indiana?  I bet it was you she worked with.  She loved you!

Now consider yourself ignored!!  Thank god![:D]

Okay folks - it seems like we have digressed a bit from the OT and have become a bit short-tempered and defensive.

Keep it on topic and keep it civil or this thread will be locked.

hehehe I knew it!!! You just couldn't do it without getting a shot in could ya? While your busy ignoring me[;)] here's two little facts. 1. No I don't live there. 2. Funny how you don't have a name for this person. Which is understandable sinse you made the story up to take a shot at me. 3. Because that's all you got, cheap shots. 4. I don't hurt animals.

    Done.
