My TWO Finally Arrived!!

I didn't get charged tax or shipping/handling. That is great because I think in the past they did charge for shipping/handling...which would have made it outrageous money...another reason I don't think I tried them back then. Yeah, it is much cheaper to buy straight from them I think, unless someone has a local store that sells it for less...but I don't have that option.

See, when I bag up Ella's poop, I tie off the bag and then when we get home I throw it in the garbage can we have outside that has a lid on it. I usually GAG when I pull the lid up (yes it smells even though the poop is in tied bags), but the smell is getting less gagging since she's been on the T.O.
I mean, poop is poop and is meant to smell bad, but when she was on the NV I had to hold my breath and walk 25 ft away before I couldn't smell it any longer.

I was also shocked about the no tax charge. . .what is up with that? Did anyone get charged tax when they ordered online??

In my experience with ordering online, you only get charged sales tax if you are in the same state as the company. Or in the case of chain stores, if they have a location in your state.

    POOP REPORT!! [sm=proud.gif]

This evenings stools were wonderful! Small, firm, compact, odorless, and back to their dark color. Very exciting, as always! Those came from a mixture of 50/50 and also some EVO 95% chicken/turkey. I think I will stick to this ratio for tonight's feeding and then up the TWO kibble tomorrow! Yes, so happy! [:)]

How's everyone else's dogs on the TWO? Any complaints?

Really??? That is great to know! I was worried they would "catch" they hadn't charged me tax and would charge me later for it![;)]  This is great news!  Saves me $15 a bag by ordering online![:D]

Sounds like your pup is tolerating it great!  Especially with the canned food mixed in too. My dogs always have softer stool with canned food added.

Odor is definately not seeming to be a problem anymore and the poops are pretty darn good this morning.[:D] They still have a fairly high volume but the first 1-2 are firm and seem to keep their shape when you do pickup, but the last couple are always softer and don't hold their shape at all once picked up.   I fed some evangers the last couple of meals with the kibble, and I expected softer poop than I got so I am pretty happy.

It is WORLDS better though than just a couple weeks ago on Pinnacle so I really feel very fortunate. . . the neighborhood is  a cleaner place now!  [:D]

You know, it is weird because I always thought "poop" would have a smell. But, I keep saying my pups are odorless, which they are...but this morning I was like I am going to check this again..I can't believe they don't smell AT ALL!! So, I picked up this mornings poop (wonderful again this morning, woo hoo!!) and I could NOT smell ANYTHING! There was absolutely no smell at all. So, I am happy to report on that...especially with the canned mixed in...that's great!!

I have been mixing canned in for awhile now...at first when he was eating the NB Duck/Potato the poops were a bit soft...but I think after I have been rotating through all the canned EVO 95% my boys stomach has adjusted and now is used to a constant change in canned. I also give him steak, chicken, RMB's...so I try to get him well rounded so that new foods would cause less of a digestive upset.

    SO FAR SO GOOD!!

(jjsmom- You have to let us know when you get your TWO in the mail. Mine shipped out Thursday...so I am aiming at Wednesday to receive mine. We'll see....[8|])

When did you order it and when did you receive the confirmation??
Gosh I hope mine comes by next Monday or I am seriously out of luck [:@]

I think JJ did OK on evo canned (compared to other canned anyway.) The evangers seems to go well with them and they LOVE when I crockpot for them best of all. I usually do chicken sometimes with collard greens or something like that, and also a beef roast and if the roast is big I will cook all of it up in the crockpot and then freeze some of it for later weeks.
I think JJ was a little upset this morning because overnight I actually crockpotted for DH and I, but not them [:o].  I cooked up thin tri tip with tomato sauce and veggies to put with a hearty pasta and he smelled the beef cooking as soon as I opened up the bedroom door and went running downstairs to the kitchen and put his nose on the counter to smell the stuff in the crockpot. He was sniffing like crazy because this stuff had much more "flavor" than what I cook for them.[:D]
After our morning walk he was in the kitchen watching me intently. . .drooling all over the floor because he was so excited to eat.  When he finally got his bowl with evangers chicken and kibble, he turned and looked at me and then watched me in the kitchen for a minute before eating!

Poor guy. . .he thought he was gonna get some great crockpotted meat! [:D]

Poor boy, he is sooo neglected. [&o]

When did you order it and when did you receive the confirmation??

I placed my order on Wednesday night (Sept. 13). I received the e-mail saying it had been shipped on Thursday (Sept. 14) morning. Really quick this time! Thankfully. So I am estimating 5 business days to ship.

When did you place your order? Has it been shipped out yet?

Ordered it Saturday (knowing it wouldn't be looked at until Monday), but HAD to get the order in. No confirmation yet, I am hoping tomorrow the conf. will come,  I have to get it by Monday before our trip!  Not sure what I am going to do if it doesn't come. The store is all out of the Bison, and I am not sure there is even any elk left so my only other choice would be the ocean blue, but I hate to transition them on new formula when they are boarding! [:@]  Also I think they only have the ocean blue in 4 pound bags so I need a few of them!

Very interested to know how many days the shipping is for you this time. [:D]

So I am assuming they carry all TWO formulas then??
When you go in there next if you think of it can you see what the costs are on their 33 pound bags of bison or elk??? I was wanting to compare the "instore prices".

Sure.  I believe they carry most or all TWO varieties.  Even if they are out of stock I can take a picture of the shelf tags.

I'll probably go back this week for some beef tendons.  I've spent ~$25 on other cheaper stuff to try and get Dakota to switch but it appears she is holding out for the tendons.

I jsut wantd to k ow how much the bags cost in other stores. The only store in town that carries it charges about $64 for 33 pounds. . .that seemed VERY steep to me so I was just curious how her price compared toother stores in teh country.

OK- just got the shipping confirmation so looks like it ships today. . . MAYBE I can get it by Monday or I am up a creek! [:'(]
Twin- I am hoping your 5 day estimate is good. I anxiously await hearing when you get it! [:D

    BAD POOP REPORT TODAY [:'(]
I don't know why but todays poop was NOT good at all.  They both pooped twice-HUGE Volume, ;pretty smelly and overall pretty soft. Each one of their second poops was almost pudding like again! The only thing I can think of is that maybe it is this particular variety of evangers (I think it is beef with liver I used the last day or so). Not only that but the 2nd pooh for each of them wasn't the same dark color...it was very light!  I only add in about 2 tablespoons of evangers so I don't know what the problem was.  This morning I gave a tablespoon of pumpkin and I am thawing out some crockpotted beef and throwing out the rest of the evangers.
    Very disapointed today [&o]

Well, if they take 5 days to ship to you to, then you should be getting it ON Monday!! I am keeping my fingers crossed as tight as I can for you! You never know, it may not even take as long to get you...I could be the odd ball! Where are you located, again? I am sending my "Get it to her fast vibes UPS's way!!" [:D]

    BAD POOP REPORT TODAY [:'(]

I am sooooooo sad to hear about your poop report today! Always a downer when those poops are less than adequate. I would guestimate that it was the Evanger's. I know the first time I mixed in the EVO during my transition is when I got the cow pies...and they were lighter in color like you said. I, also, just added a tiny tiny bit. But anything can happen when in the process of, or just switched to a new food. Hopefully things firm up for your dogs. Once again, my fingers are crossed! I think that the pumpkin should really help the stools also. You had mentioned that canned food tends to make their stools softer, so I think using the crockpotted beef and holding off on the Evangers is a good decision. [:)]

I've been following the poop reports.  I just wanted to say that it could very well be the liver in the Evangers.  Willow cannot tolerate organ meats and gets the same issues from them.  If your dog is at all prone to soft poop organ meat will do it.

I use Evanger's Hunk of Beef for Willow, all beef, no organs.  And, she's got IBS, very prone to bowel issues and does great on it.  You cannot mix in a huge amount or you will have problems, but I'd say I mix a good couple tablespoons in with no trouble.
