My TWO Finally Arrived!!

Twin, if you want to know how high the grass, weed, and tree pollen count in your area is as well as the mold here's a good site;    [linkhttp://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p=pollen]http://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p=pollen[/link]   It may give you some idea what's making your dog itch.  In California outdoor allergens are probably a factor in your dog's itching but in my part of the country their isn't any pollen now so itching would have to be caused by a food allergy or indoor allergies.

    Thank you so much! [:)]

My area shows low counts for trees, weeds, and grass. Mold is at a moderate level...maybe its the mold?! Sacramento is the armpit of California! [:'(]

Last week was our first "cold snap".  What if THAT set her off?  This is ticking me off, but I'm so desperate to figure out what it is and somehow keep TWO.  LOL!!

You sound just like me Kenny! [:D] I couldn't have said it better! [;)]

I really want to feed her TWO.  Like, desperately so.  LMAO!!  No wonder I'm crazy!

I am considering one of two options now:
    1. Finish the remainder of CA Natural and then go back to TWO.
    2. Go back to TWO on Monday, making it a whole week.  Then, I'll see if she reverts back to the crazy itching.

Both sound good, but my desperation is overtaking me.  That means number two will probably win.  [:D]  She's still itching after three days of no TWO, but it's not crazy.  I notice a difference.  Then again, it's remained cold lately.  Could she have adjusted to it by now?  Her coat has gotten thicker, too.  Does coat growth cause itching?

The past few nights have been a pain with her.  She hates the cold, but she won't pee/poop for a while.  It's frustrating, because I know she HAS TO GO.  [&:]  I say, "Roxie, just get it over with and we'll go back in."

I know what you mean, Kenny. I, too, am really impatient with these things. I want answers overnight it seems...but it's just not the case...very stressfull. It is hard to watch them itch and be uncomfortable. The worst thing is because we do not know the culprit for sure.

What breed is Roxie? Is that her in your signature?

It's good to have others know why this bothers me.  She didn't itch like this in the summer, either, so who knows?  It could be the weather, TWO, or something else.  I'll figure out sooner or later, I hope.

Yes, that's my Roxie in the siggy! [:D] She's my world!  I really don't know she is.  For the longest time, I thought she was a Rottweiler/GSD mix.  Lately, I see more of a Rottie/Lab mix in her, though.  One thing's for certain -- she's part Rottweiler.

My vet said he could take blood samples and send it off to some lab.  They could tell me exactly what she was, dating back to four or five generations.  That sounds nice, right?  Well, it would cost over $200!  Um, no thanks, I'll just enjoy not knowing exactly what she is.  LOL!

Oh my gosh do I feel like a retard!! I can't stop laughing at how dumb I feel right now! LOFL!! [:D] I asked if that was Roxie in your signature and you have the name "Roxie" in the picture! HE HE HE...that really shows my age! [;)]

She sure is a cutie pie! I love those names Roxie and Trixe.

Speaking of Trixie, how is she doing with her eating? Has she taken a liking to the Serengeti at all, or is she at least eating her Nutro?

What's the weather like in Knoxville?

LOL!  It's okay!  I've done the same thing before!  [:D]

Thanks, I liked 'em too!  The names are similar, so if I say, "Trixie!", Roxie will sometimes look up at me.  Trixie does the same thing sometimes with "Roxie!".  My fault for such similar names.  [8D]

Trixie is eating HealthWise Cat 'N' Kitten now, because it's better and cheaper than Nutro.  It doesn't have the crap Nutro puts in their cat food.  I'm very pleased with Natura products, and she actually likes it.  I paid $17 for a 16.5 pound bag.  That will last her through January, I'm sure.  A 10 pound bag of Nutro is $20!!  Crazy!  Nutro is good, but not that good!  She still refuses the Serengetti.  [:@]  Her stools are very good, too.  LMAO!!  Poop report for a cat!  I should know, since I clean it from her litter box each morning.

It's in the mid-40s right now, but it feels colder.  The past two nights were unseasonably cold.  It was in the low 30s to upper 20s.  That's way too cold for October.  That's why I freaked when I saw snow flurries!  Interestingly enough, we're expecting rain tonight, tomorrow, and Friday.  If the temps had remained in the low 30s/upper 20s, we may have had serious snow -- in October!  So weird how it works out sometimes.

WOW!!! ThanksJessies mom!! this is VERY interesting.  The months when JJ was having the most problems had higher grass counts and about the time that the grass counts were absent or in the low range is when he stoped having problems!  i signed up so i can keep track of this area![:D]

Will she wear a dog sweater?? I know...you are a guy and don't want to dress up your dog...I don't mean dressing up, just something simple to keep her warmer  (you don't have to have the silly looking jammies I posted a page or two back) [;)

I actually have looked for dog jerseys (Tennessee football jerseys -- LOL!  That way she can support the team!), but it's hard to find clothes in her size.  If I find one, I'm getting it for her, regardless of how it looks.

And those jammies were hilarious!  [sm=rotfl.gif]

i was also concerned for a moment about offending...but I figured I would put it out there![sm=lol.gif]   I am also a brunette who can have very blonde moments  [;)]

hey...I made the wagon wheels...they were excellent!! My step daughter walked the dogs with me tonight since DH had a signing gig thingy and so I fed her dinner as "payment"...she also LOVED it and wants the recipe so she can make it for her brother and her boyfriend when they all move in together next week! [:D]   She was soooo shocked at how the whole meal costs less than $10 to put together
(she is paying reduced rent...but is taking care of her brothers dog and will be paying for and making dinners everynight...so she is looking for cheap, fast and tasty!! )  This fits the bill![;)]  Tell mom...good choice!

the greyhound jammies ARE REALLY FUNNY!! [sm=rofl.gif]
they are both gonna get the 4-legged ones but Pru is getting the pink ones with the monkeys (cuz she sis a silly monkey herself [;)])... and JJ is getting the frog ones [:D]   Poor doggies...I make them look silly but they gotta stay warm when we camp!

DO you have petsmart in your area??  I have found they have the BEST selection of clothes because they have many different sizes of clothes (it is HARD to fit a greyhound, but I got cute coats for my two from Petsmart).Petco in my area DOES have team shirts though....
      Does dog.com have anything??
