Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

I Still Love and Miss You...
To my sweet heart dog of a lifetime... Dancer, I can't believe it's three years that you have been gone. But, now I know why you left - it was to get things ready in the spirit land so you could continue your job of taking care of Daddy Mike, who loved you here as much as I did. You will always...

My Dear KOBI (video)
I want to thank all my friends here on idog for all their prayers, condolences and kind words. Kobi went peacefully. My home, like my heart feels empty. I feel really tired. I have had a very low key week. I never realized how emotionally draining these last 6months have been. When I left the vets office...

Jasmine, my sweet baby girl
Dear Jasmine, Today marks 30 days without you in our lives. I still weep for you. I still look at the backdoor to see if you are watching me as I work in the flower gardens. I have to stop myself from asking if you want to 'go' when we run an errand. I am still getting up at 5:30 AM to feed you...

Run free, Algebra
last week we had a little poodle come in for an exploritory surgery. Owner thought he had ingested a tampon - and she was right. We removed it, and all was well. Follow up call showed everything was going great. Then today - his owner had taken him outside to potty, and they were attacked by a swarm...

Goodbye Max (Infiniti) - NDR
This afternoon I lost Max, my Mini Lop rabbit. The only saving grace is that I got to hold him in my arms as he went to the Rainbow Bridge. I came home this afternoon to find him unresponsive, and was preparing to take him to the exotics E-Vet when his breathing changed, and I just knew somehow that...

Good-bye, Molly
I'm relatively new to the forum, but everyone already seems like family. I've been too sad to visit the forum lately, but I just wanted to drop by to let you know we had to take our Husky mix, Molly, on a one-way trip to the vet last week. Her back legs refused to work any longer, and at 14...

A voice now silent
Hootie the Talking Cockatiel passed away this morning. He was 11 which was a fair age for a cockatiel. He'd been a bit less talkative of late, but our favorite oldies station was no longer on and he chattered with that mostly. David taught him to talk as a baby so the bird honestly had Davids Scot's...
