Roscoe, 6 months.

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Roscoe,

I think about you everyday and I miss you very much. You will always be my special Roscoe P. Coletrane. Thanks for helping me pick T-Bone and helping him pick me. I love you!

     ---

Roscoe has been gone for almost exactly 6 months now. Some days it feels like he's been gone for a long, long time. Some days it feels like he was here just yesterday. Does anyone else ever feel that way about a pet who has passed on?

Thanks, guys. (((hugs))) for all of you. Sometimes people don't understand that grieving a pet is the same as a human friend...

Well, I do. Blessings on you and yours for being there and doing everything that you could do and for sharing with us so that we can know the love that you have. You make this world a better place and I'm a better person for knowing you and feeling your grief.
