    Peta's Pulled Superbowl Ad

    Peta's Ad

LOL....they're a ridiculas bunch of looney's, aren't they? I will never look at an eggplant or asparagus the same way, ROFL!

    • Gold Top Dog

What about making throwing veggies into the tub?! that poor brocolli.. Makes me want to save it! Lol..

I watched that and went Wow... Then I had to go looking for the second blog report with Peta in it about Vick's sensitivties test. *dies laughing*

I wonder what other ad's have been banned.. I need a laugh so I'm going hunting! Lol.

Since I didn't see a partner, my assumpton would be that vegatarians have better sex because they are doing it themselves without the "interference" of a second party.  I personally am not so sure that solo is better, but, whatever floats their boats......

But to put something like THAT on national TV during a major sporting event?  Very poor taste and I'm glad that NBC refuses to air it.  Yuck.  And, poor veggies!

    • Gold Top Dog

Playboy channel...sure, why not.  NBC...uh, probably not.  Good grief.  Poor abused broccoli.  I'm sure some guys out there would like to save them from such abuse.  Well, hey...maybe some gals too.  Stick out tongue

Since when is PETA solving vegetable dilemmas, anyway.  Must have peeked some interest.   Big Smile

Bad taste?Absolutely, but no worse in my opinion than those rediculous Victoria's Secret ads.I'd be interested in that study, who funded it etc.It doesn't seem like a credible claim to me.I'm sure healthier people enjoy sex more and most vegans are more carefull in general about what they inhale and ingest but It seems like a stretch to say meat free=better sex.

    Tena

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh don't get me started on Victorias Secret!  The only bumper sticker I've ever been tempted to get is the one that says "Victoria, keep your SECRET"!  LOL.

I'm sorry, but some stuff just doesn't belong on "public" tv.  I didn't particularly enjoy seeing Sipowitz butt on NYPDBlue.  Loved the show, hated his ***!  But, maybe I'm just an old fart.  I do like sex though........but not with veggies.

    • Gold Top Dog

LOL Glenda.  Aw come on...spice it up a little bit with at least some strawberries and whipped cream.  But, yeah...I agree with you about Sipowitz's butt.  Big Smile

    • Gold Top Dog

Now I did NOT say fruits can't be involved, but, ummm, more like the cherry on top of the sundae.  NOT as the main event.

Errrm!  Back ON topic.......I would be as offended seeing that spot during the superbowl as the butts on NYPDBlue.  I can't watch CSI Miami without seeing that skinny little red headed rear....over and over and over again!

    • Gold Top Dog

How did I know you were going to say that...fruits are a different story.  LOL

I would imagine that aside from PETA, that spot would have been pulled by the NBC execs long before Sunday.

Come on NBC...bring on the Clydesdales and the dalmations.  WASSUPPP!  Remember that one...good grief!

    • Gold Top Dog

I admit...the only reason I watch the Superbowl is for the ads.  I'm really, really glad that I don't have to see this one.  I haven't even clicked on the link.

The morning radio show I listen to on my way in was making fun of PETA this morning due to all this.  It just reminded me how much I like that morning show....  Big Smile

I don't have an issue with the ad itself, in that I have seen much more graphic things here in Europe, but...

I don't think for a second that PETA expected the ad to run - but thanks to it NOT being run, they are getting a ton of press.  Viral advertising at its best...

To quote the article:  "Mommy, why is that lady putting vegetables in her crotch and not her mouth?" And that's a perfectly valid question.

BWAAAHAHHA~  For real.  (Glenda, good point about the solo sex with celery... bizarre)

    • Gold Top Dog

Was it celery?  I sort of thought it was the poor asparagus!  Regardless, all I can say is SAVE THE PRODUCE!!

My brother, a football fanatic, will be 11 years old on Saturday and I can't imagine him watching that ad! Embarrassed
