I'd also like to suggest that in addition to the precautions that wtsfrequency has given you, you might check your dog's immunization record to see if it has been vaccinated for leptospirosis since you're going camping.  Even if it has, there are serovars that are not covered by the shot.  You'll want to keep your pup away from streams, ponds, lakes, standing water, etc because it can pick up the disease from these sources.

I hope that you'll reconsider taking this young pup camping with you, but if you insist, please educate yourself about what the risks are and do what you can to protect it. 

I think that decision should be left to me, I have a lot of information about those breed, but could ALWAYS use more. If you think I should take care of my dog, you'd think you'd be happy that I'm doing everything to do what's best for her. And be ready. I now have clothes that my mom has graciously bought me. Big surprise there though. I am capable, and when I need information I don't have- I go to MY mother.

By the way... Dogs are great but humans are also important. More than dogs.

Tank you all for your advice, and for my 14 birthday, my family has given me money, and I will use that for the dog. Even though my b-ady was 2 months ago, I haven't spent it yet. All is well, and she will be very happy.
