    M.C. Wed-nes-day

I am so excited - am mailing off my final truck payment today!!!  It'll be like getting a $300/month raise!  Woo Hoo!

Did anyone see the moon this morning?  It was the thinnest sliver I've ever seen.  It was awesome!

Agnes is a "marker".  When we walk she now will hike up a back leg in order to pee on a tree.  It's funny to see her personality emerge.  I'll be she was a stinker when she was young.

Must dive into the audit invoices again this morning.  Bleh.

I hope everyone who has been feeling crappy is on the mend.

I'm going to be in a "webinar" from 9am - 4:30 pm today.  ooooh joy.  It will be soooo fun to listen to the new amendments to the rules of civil procedure.  Mind you, these rules are coming into effect January 2010, and if I don't know them, then the lawyer won't know them, and then we will get in trouble with the court for doing things wrong lol.   but i literally have a stack of work behind me that is to be done today.  gaaaah

I have no time this morning.  Ugh...I wish the day had more like 30 hours in it.  hmmm...or maybe just that I had internet at work, to go with my dad's $1200 deck of cards he keeps in a laptop case.

No but dang, I wish they did that HERE.

My friend at the Greek restaurant we go to send home some hummus for Kee Shu last night (cos her hematacrit is way too low -- geriatric stuff) and Kee thinks man -- she'd be HAPPY to eat herself to better blood.  Just don't stop spooning it in my mouf Mom!!!

I'm still coughing, congested, and have a terrible voice, but this morning I woke up and I could breath out of my nostril, my eyes were not glued shut, and my head did not feel like it was cranked in a vice!

Glad Agnes is perky enough to leave her mark on the local flora and fauna Wink

I'm feeling kind of bad because BF and I had a HUGE fight last night over something idiotic. It was a little bit my fault, mostly his fault, but he's under a ton of pressure right now and I should have given him more leeway in being allowed to overreact a little bit. Sigh. At least we made up before bed.

BF's grandmother's parrot died last night, too... he was an old bird, brought back by his grandfather when he was stationed in Central America in the 50's. They thought he was acting "off" in the morning, so they took him to the vet afternoon, and in the evening we got a call that he'd died. The grandfather died a few years ago, so the grandmother is taking it pretty hard. Any ideas on parrot-specific sympathy gifts/poems/something? We're going to send a nice card today. Maybe some flowers or something, too.

Sigh, I still feel like a tool.

I fell asleep at around 8 pm last night and slept all the way through till 6 am this morning.  I feel incredibly rested and ready to take on the world.  My sinus infection must finally be totally cleared up since I haven't felt this good in a couple of weeks.  I think I'll get a new bottle of vodka to celebrate !!!!

Maybe you could get flowers in colors that match the bird's feathers ????  I don't know anything about parrots, but it was just a thought.

Callie, yeah it's nice they do this, but OMG the new rules are not good!!  I think you and stacer would probably appreciate this, actually, stacer would if she does civil law in her office (she is in the same province as me)

Simplified procedure cases are now up to $100k so any cases where they are looking for damages up to 100k will be under the simplified procedure, AND you ONLY get 2 hours of examinations!!!!!! And that's to examine EVERYONE, even on cross-examinations of affidavit material or motion material, and ANY witnesses!!  wow that sucks!!  Usually when we go into examinations of the other party just, examinations sometimes take all day!  The lawyer here was not pleased with that!

So they said that any proceedings that are ongoing right now, to try to finish examinations before January 2010.  Which means reporting offices will be filled to the brim!  agh!

Drinkin' it neat - you part Russian?

Glad to hear everyone is feeling better or on their way there!

I dropped Luna and Cricket (our foster) at the vet this AM for their spay surgeries. Hopefully, that will go smoothly, and then we'll just have to figure out how to keep two Aussies from running and jumping around like crazies while they heal. I feel some serious crate rest coming on...

Can folks send them easy surgery/super healing vibes?

Courtney, stop feeling like a tool.  It isn't productive, & won't accomplish anything!

PPA, good luck with the spays, & the confinement.  I'm sending you good thoughts for an easy, laid back recovery.   I have a feeling that you're going to need them!

Bevo has a re-check appointment with his internist & neurologist next week.  Since we are going to be making the drive anyway, I scheduled an evaluation with the behaviorist that Bev used to see  for Brutus.  I am fairly certain that I'm handling his protectiveness in the appropriate way, but I want someone else to see him & make sure that I am not doing anything that may make it worse.

I have tons of errands to get done today, & no motivation to get going.
