I've used them for years -- your turkey turns out super moist that way. It also cooks in about half the time with NO basting at all.
Well, I've only done one turkey so far (last year), but used the bag and I concur...super moist and no basting!
I'm trying to find some landscapers to give us quotes on some work at the house (digging beds for shrubs and prepping the soil..basically the hard stuff we don't have time to do, lol).
Also trying to decide on which shrubs I want to put in. I think it's come down to this:
Along one side of the house (side yard): dwarf gardenias
Along the long sides of the fence in the back yard:
Azaleas & a few camellias in the shady parts (alternating kind of, one camellia after every 3 azaleas)
Tea olives & knockout roses in the sunny parts (alternating)
In the corner of the fence up by the house where there's no gate, possiby some goldmound spirea - they'd be right next to the nandinas we currently have along the back of the house after the deck ends, I think they'd look nice together since they both get nice reddish leaves in fall.
I'll try and get some "before" pics, too, so I can post the before & afters once we get it all done...might be done by the end of the month, which is super exciting!!
